By Request, ‘Hark the Herald Angels Sing’

I can feel these Christmas carols melting the ice in my soul! What would we do without Christmas?

Requested by Erlene, Hark the Herald Angels Sing. Performed by the Yoder Family, with background sets by God the Father. Written by Charles Wesley in 1739–and still going strong.

I’m saving a couple of these carols for tomorrow morning.

  1. This one always reminded me of the time we were living on the ranch where my younger son was born on December 21. A neighbor boy from down the road came up to see him soon after we brought him home, and he quoted the line which is “glory to the newborn king” gave us a little laugh.
