Sometimes it seems the culture war is over and our side lost. Far Left Crazy owns our schools, colleges, and teachers’ unions, big chunks of our corporations, the Democrat Party, our so-called Mainstream Nooze Media, our, um, “entertainment” industry, and all sorts of wealthy, influential international organizations. What can we do? They’re devouring our civilization.
But it’s important, it’s vital, to remember that all of this was, in our own lifetimes, nothing but a bunch of silly little fringe groups who, if they were noticed at all, got laughed at. And now they’re on top.
This has happened before, times without number. Seen anything of the Assyrian Empire lately? How about the Roman Empire? The Third Reich? The Soviet Union? How high were they riding before they took their last great fall?
What could have had a less promising beginning than the Christian Church itself? But the Bible tells us that God always does, and always has, preserved a remnant. A seed.And in His own time, He will make it grow.
Our seed will grow; they’ll never pluck it out. All we have to do is be faithful. The lesson has been repeated again and again throughout our history. Hell is full of would-be rulers of the world. God does not need a vast majority to do His work.
He is the majority. Now and always, Amen.
As we live in the world, it is easy to forget that we can’t save the world, and to get exhausted and sometimes embittered by our own efforts. Jesus Christ is our Savior and we need to rest in Him, to listen and ask for understanding of how He wants to work through us. “The gates of hell shall not prevail. . .”
Ultimately, we are faced with the same question as the first couple; whether or no we accept our Maker as the standard of right or wrong. It’s obvious that a lot of people reject the concept of obedience to a Creator, and are willing to fight against Him. In the long run, that never goes well. The historic examples you related point this up, but some people never seem to learn. God will prevail, and our only hope is to rely upon the Savior He sent.
Good one, Lee. Back in the 1950s the Left owned the MSM and they were the only show in town. In the 21st century we have an unstoppable alternative conservative media, and we are no longer held captive to the MSM. As far as the Left/Globalist dominating the power structures in our society, that was the result of instant billionaires using the Internet. Companies like BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street by managing corporations’ ability to borrow have been able to plus buy up controlling interest in the biggest companies – all this happened so fast.
