I post this hymn even though it brings me to tears, more often than not.
What a Friend We Have in Jesus: sung by Alan Jackson. It used to break me down in Sunday school. It can still do that.

Have never heard Alan Jackson sing – LOVE listening to him sing this song!
Thanks for putting it on today!
You’ll find a lot of his songs in the archive.
Thank you for this, Lee. It’s just what I needed to hear. I’m running a highish fever today (101F) and shivering despite 3 layers of turtleneck and sweaters while trying to keep down the half-slice of Swiss cheese I managed to choke down with 1.5 saltines. Other than that, I’m fine. (New York sardonicism.)
Stay in bed, Phoebe! Nuffin’ better happen to you!
Dear Mr. Lee Duigon, I heard about the hard things that are happening to you. I want you to know that every day my family and I have been praying for you. We love you so much. I am very grateful to you.
Thank you so much, Kathleen! I am very much moved by your good wishes.
My goodness, so many things happening to so many people at thiis time. I am so weak, I can hardly do a thing, and …a lot of other stuff, but I am praying for you all. We really need one another’s prayers- let’s keep them going.
By all means!
