I found myself, yesterday, whistling this good old-fashioned hymn–Down to the River to Pray, sung here by Alison Krauss. We didn’t have anything like it in our dear old Dutch Reformed Church. Calvinists, were we.
But we all belong to Jesus Christ our King.
Very nice version of this good old song.
I heard an old preacher mention the river where he was baptized after his conversion. It happened in the middle of January. They didn’t have a heated baptism tank. They went down to the river, cut a hole in the ice, and there he was baptized. That is commitment to the Lord!
Great rendition of this song.
I hope the Lord keeps track of it!
