Unknowable sent us this video of a man who adopted a baby mouse, and I had to share it with you.
Mice are wonderful pets. I had a mouse named Mommy once. She used to groom my mustache and beard. She had nine babies, and surprised me by dividing them into three groups of three, in three nests, so she could keep track of who’d been fed and groomed and who hadn’t.

This video really touched me. A tiny, helpless creature rescued by a man. Every life is precious, and even a little mouse is now enjoying life, because of the kindness of a person who took some time to help out a truly helpless creature. He credits this experience with making him more appreciative of all life.
Beyond that, what a cute little creature. It’s fun just to watch that little life enjoying its life.

No, but I have raised hamsters, which are incredibly cute little creatures.

Perhaps a few months. IIRC, they are fully mature at four months. I believe that they are the most fertile mammal on earth.
