‘The Day Thou Gavest Lord Is Ended’

Yes, I know I’m late. Please bear with me.

I never heard this hymn before: The Day Thou Gavest, Lord, Is Ended, sung here by the Choir of the Abbey School, Tewkesbury, England. Happily, they’re not fighting the Wars of the Roses here anymore.

  1. I was thinking about the many, I have known during my lifetime that are now with the Lord. And I made a slight change to the title of this hymn. “The Life Thou Gavest, Lord, Is Ended.” As it will be for all of us one day.

As we sang this hymn, “The Lily of the Valley,” for morning devotions, I thought about you. I believe the words will bring some comfort. This hymn is my request.

  2. My reply didn’t post again the first time. So, here it is again.
