Now It’s ‘Drag Brunch’… at High School

This nooze is much too disgusting to rate a picture. Here are some monarch butterflies instead.

I can’t imagine why people continue to send their kids to public schools.

The latest: A high school in Fairfax County, Virginia (among the usual suspects), will be having a “Drag Brunch” next month… to go along with its presentation of an “LGBTQ musical” called Kinky Boots (https://catholicvote.org/virginia-public-hs-to-host-drag-brunch-may-4/).

They call it “education.”

All right, go ahead, take a whack at it: what the dickens is this supposed to do for us? Come on, let’s have some answers! This one’s for you, parents: Why? Why do you want this for your children? And it’s paid for with YOUR money! That YOU worked for. This is how they spend your school tax money.

I remember, vividly, a time when people had too much self-respect to allow anything like this. I pray that time will come again.

It’s ‘Unfair’ to Hire a Tutor for Your Kids?

“Don’t talk to me, I only run the place.”

Do you still doubt that villains and idiots are in charge of public education? Here, here’s some more evidence!

Fairfax County, Virginia, suburb of Washington D.C., one of the richest counties in America (love them government paychecks!)–Fairfax school authorities have objected to parents hiring tutors for their children to tide them over while the schools are all closed by the coronavirus panic (http://americanthinker.com/blog/2020/08/fairfax_county_virginia_public_schools_tell_parents_not_to_hire_tutors_because_it_is_unfair_to_kids_whose_parents_cant_afford_them_.html).

See, it’s “not fair”! What about parents who just don’t bother with a tutor? What about parents who can’t afford one? Not that there are likely to be many of those in Fairfax County. And no pooling your money to hire a tutor for a “homeschooling pod” serving several families–that’s not fair, either.

Sez the school district authorities, hiring a tutor, cooperating to hire a tutor, or switching over to homeschooling are all unfair because–wait for it!–“they may widen the gap in school access and equity for all students.” How about the gap between the administrator’s ears? Well, if that got any wider, his head would fall apart down the middle.

So everybody has to slow down in order to keep up with the dumbest, the laziest, the least motivated? Well, yeah–that’s exactly what they’re saying. If your kid winds up better educated than another kid–because you and your family worked to make it happen–that’s not “equity”! Boo, hiss!

And you want to send your children back to schools run by these nincompoops because __________?

County School Board Pushes ‘Transgender’

I’ve been to see the accountant, I’ve written my Newswithviews column for the week, I’ve typed up a chapter of my book–and now it’s time to revisit the wonderful world of public education! (Thanks, I think, to Linda for the news tip.)

The Fairfax County, Virginia, Board of Education has approved a new sex-ed curriculum in which the kiddies will be taught that “gender is fluid” and, in the words of one of the board’s sages, “Biological sex is meaningless!” (https://fellowshipoftheminds.com/2018/06/05/virginia-school-board-tells-kids-they-werent-born-male-or-female/)

Okay, here’s what I want to know. Who thinks this is a good idea–and why? We don’t see any of these board members submitting to radical surgery and pumping themselves full of hormones to “transition” to another sex. Why don’t leftids themselves ever do the damned things they want everybody else to do?

Come on, there must be some loon out there who can bring us up to speed on the benefits of this kind of teaching. If you’ve got a computer in your rubber room, we’d love to hear from you.

And we’re still waiting for parents to explain why they send their kids to public schools to be educated by nuts and morons.
