Spitting on Stalin: Hungary, 1956

All over the world, people have risked death, exposed themselves to danger and to hardship–to be free. Most of them wanted to be free from so-called “socialist” governments. No one talks about the Iron Curtain anymore, but in 1956 it was a real thing. And the people of Hungary put their lives on the line to get rid of it. But the Soviet Union intervened to crush them.

A few years later it was refugees from Cuba, risking their lives to escape from communism and come to America. Because freedom is that much better than socialism! And worth risking everything, to get it.

What would those people make of us today, passionately flirting with socialism, shrugging our shoulders as the whole Democrat Party cruises down the Far Left speedway, on fire to “fundamentally transform” our country into a Third World hell-hole?

And once they do it to us, there’ll no noplace left to go.

For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”  1 Corinthians 1: 19

This is the age of panic. Our entire ruling class–politicians, banks, big corporations, social media platforms, Hollywood, teachers’ unions and college professors–is stampeding to grovel before Only Black Lives Matter. They’re wiping out our culture: no more Aunt Jemima, no more Eskimo pies, no more Theodore Roosevelt statue at the American Museum of Natural History, no more history… One wonders if they mean to ban everything.

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called… (v. 26).

There’s none of them left on our side, they’ve all rushed over to the Far Left side of the boat–a good way to make it capsize. The wise, the mighty, the noble; the rich and famous, the influential: they compete with each other to see who can be the most obsequious, the most servile, the most woke.

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and base things of the world, and things which are despised hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: that no flesh should glory in his presence. (verses 27-29)

So there’s no one left on our side but us. The little people, the nobodies, the deplorables. The ones they laugh at when they hunker down in Davos with overpriced cocktails. Whose only function is to pay taxes and do what we’re told.

It is well within God’s power and authority to bring this era to a close, to bring down the curtain with a crash; and when He does, it will be in such a way that no one will be able to attribute it to anyone or anything but Him. The Lord our God, strong to save.

They call the preaching of the gospel foolishness. They’d like to stamp it out.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. (v. 25)

It’s going to be a bad time for those who have chosen the wrong side. Their visitation will not be infinitely postponed.

The beauty of Canada’s “We hate hate!” regime is that everyone is always guilty! “Hate” is so indistinctly defined, with all sorts of “inadvertent” or even “unconscious” acts included, that trying to get through a day without committing some obscure species of Canadian hate crime is as impossible as operating a New York City restaurant that’s in 100% compliance with the health code.

Liberalism sometimes makes it a real drag to be human.

Could the same thing be about to happen to the communist regime in China?

Granted, this is a fallen world inhabited by sinners. There are going to be problems with anything we do. But communism is way below even this world’s standards, and people only put up with it because they’re afraid their commie government will kill them if they don’t. I wonder if that’s what Western liberals like about it.

 

Atrocity in Canada

A Canadian court has ordered a father not to question or even discuss his 14-year-old daughter’s, er, decision to have “sex-change” treatments with drugs and hormones (https://www.massresistance.org/docs/gen4/20a/Canadian-father-banned-by-court/index.html). See the “Mass Resistance” article for details and an interview. By the way, the father could be tossed into prison for giving that interview.

He has been warned by the court that failing to use the child’s preferred pronoun (aka “misgendering”), or discussing the case at all, with anyone, would constitute “family violence,” a crime that carries a prison sentence.

See what leftids do with words. Now you can be guilty of “violence” without laying a hand on anyone. Now it’s “violence” if you fail to say what they want you to say.

Another issue comes to mind. If “gender fluid” sex-change-yatta-yatta is so self-evidently good, so productive of good things for society… why would the court find it necessary to issue a gag order? This applies to the, ahem, nooze media, too–except for when they publish editorials celebrating this wise and humane decision.

The girl’s parents are divorced, and divorce can be unbearably stressful for the children of the marriage.

The father is almost certain that his daughter’s “counselors” in school put her up to this. Started working on her, it seems, when she was still in early grade school. And at no time were the parents ever notified about their child’s supposed “gender confusion”. Not until the kid started acting it out at home. Then it was too late.

The father says sodomite activists and “allies”–another word that has been debauched by leftids–worked on the mother until they brought her around to their way of, uh, thinking.

This raises an urgent point. If your children are in public school, get them out of there! Public education has become dangerous to children. Having very few children of their own, Organized Sodomy buddies up with Far Left teachers’ unions to turn the schools into indoctrination factories. They don’t need to have their own children. They just take over other people’s children.

There is no such thing as “transgender.” It is a fiction foisted on society by Far Left Crazy, with the aid of the teachers’ unions, addle-pated “educators” in the looniversity, and assorted villains in the entertainment industry. There is no benefit from it. Maybe it can impose enough chaos on society to allow a truly totalitarian government to take over.

This is all a satanic enterprise. And if we don’t stop it, God will.

You’re Paying for Lies

Public “education” is a rip-off. Even worse, a disservice. And worse than that, an injustice.

“All Genders Can Menstruate,” a flagrant falsehood, is taught in British schools and is making its way into American schools.

There are only two genders, male and female. There are no others.

Teaching defenseless children things that aren’t true is a crime.

You pay for it. We all do. We pay through the nose for public education, it costs a fortune, and we have no say in who teaches or what gets taught. All we do is pay. Here we are paying for lies. Paying to make our children believe lies.

If you pay for something, it’s yours, you own it–right? Well, with liberals running things, no, you don’t own it. You only pay for it; they own it. They decide who teaches in your schools. They decide what your children get taught. You just pay.

If we had any self-respect, we’d put a stop to this. Pronto.

Little Greta Wants It Done ‘Right Now!’

“We demand!”

Swedish teenager Greta Thunberg, anointed Far Left Scold of All the World, thinks it’s taking Western civilization much too long to cut itself off from fossil fuels.

“We want this done now–as in right now!” she says (https://www.dailywire.com/news/greta-snaps-over-demands-we-want-this-done-now-as-in-right-now).

What is it that she wants us all to do “right now”?

Completely cut ourselves off from all fossil fuels. Cold turkey. And while we’re at it, totally re-engineer all our social institutions–overnight, if possible. Especially capitalism. Gotta get rid of that. “We demand,” seems to have become her favorite turn of phrase.

Who’s “we”? Don’t ask.

Hmm… If the world actually tried to do what Greta demands, it’s questionable whether anyone at all would survive the havoc that it wreaked. But I guess when you take a mentally ill teenager and suddenly exalt her to a level far above even the freakin’ pope’s, you have to expect it to go to her head a bit.

But if you’re a Far Left wacko, there’s nothing that beats having a child run interference for you. Anyone who criticizes Greta the Scold is just such a meanie!

Get hip to this, though: the world is full of rich, powerful wackos whose totally irrational policies, if followed, would plunge the human race into untold suffering.

And they don’t care. In fact, it’s what floats their boat.

I don’t believe those alleged polls that say the American people have come around to be fully in favor of “gay marriage.” If that were true, they wouldn’t be marching in and out of various courtrooms to impose it on us by force. They’d just pass legislation and that’d be that.

But certainly our “value system” isn’t what it was. I think it started with “values” replacing “right and wrong.”

Right and wrong are right and wrong for everybody. But any nit can declare his own “values.”

Remember this from five years ago? They wouldn’t let you take “large sums” of your own money out of the bank unless you could convince them it was for a “good reason.”

You’ve got to understand how deep statists think. In their minds, nothing you own is yours; everything ultimately belongs to the government. Including your labor and your flesh and blood.

Democrat campaign slogan from a few years ago: “The government’s the only thing we call belong to.”

They need taking down a peg.
