Once you go down there, you can never come back up

Back in September some perky publicist pitched me a book “re-telling Bible stories without an angry God.” I didn’t think we needed anything like that. We’ve already gotten enough to incur a spiritual pollution. So I told them to get lost.

‘Bible Stories Without God’

Would you believe it? He’s back! Back with another invitation to read and review this monstrosity. I mean, come on! “Gay lovers in the sanctuary cities of Sodom and Gomorrha”? Does this come with a barf bag, or do you have to provide your own?

Apparently my first refusal, months ago, struck the perky publicist as somehow ambiguous. So I guess I’ll have to try again.

No, no, no! Not if you put a gun to my head! I will not soil myself, I will not insult my own soul, by reading this toxic, heretical trash. And you’ve signed yourself up for a long, long stay at Club Hell, unless you repent now and tell the author you will not represent him anymore.

Personally, if it were up to me, I’d smite the pair of you with lightning and be done with it today: “So perish all who do the same!” You’re lucky the God you hate is much more merciful than I am.

But if He listens to me, he’d smite you.

The Nooze I Don’t Cover

Not that I want to report any nooze at all on a Sunday–but you wouldn’t believe how many suggestions I receive from well-meaning people wanting me to cover this or that story.

But I can’t.

For one thing, it just ain’t practical. For instance, reports of “education” malpractice in our schools and colleges and looniversities would fill a thick book every day. The state of our education system is a thousand times worse than I’ve painted it out to be! No one can keep score: just a few examples have to suffice.

For another thing, if I cover too much nooze, it ruins my complexion. How many ranting, foul-mouthed, wacko Democrats can I quote before my brain starts running out my ears? Leftism is spiritually toxic. The full armor of God must be your Hazmat suit. But even fully protected by God’s Word, there’s only so much of this that I can take.

Anyhow, today is the Lord’s day of rest, the sun has finally peeked out from the dreary grey clouds that hemmed it in all weekend, I think I’ll stand outside and enjoy a nice cigar, and watch some BBC Narnia this afternoon. And if I can manage a bit of Oy, Rodney, I hope it’s as relaxing for you to read as it is for me to write.

‘Comedian’ Rooting for a Recession

Alleged comedian and HBO host Bill Maher has demonstrated how leftids hope to lib their way into our hearts–calling for a national recession “to get rid of Trump” (https://www.thewrap.com/bill-maher-economic-crash-recession-rid-trump/). This is the substance of the Great Blue Wave they’re hoping for.

“Sorry if it hurts people, but it’s either root for a recession or you lose your democracy,” Maher said on TV a few nights ago.

How about a plague, too, while we’re at it?

But don’t worry about him. Like the rest of the Hollywood liberals, Maher is so rich as to be recession-proof. So it won’t hurt him at all. Just you. “Let’s you and him make a great big sacrifice to get what I want.”

Please, please, voters–don’t ever, ever let these people ever again take power over our country.

You’re guaranteed to be sorry if you do. But then it’ll be too late for sorry.

County School Board Pushes ‘Transgender’

I’ve been to see the accountant, I’ve written my Newswithviews column for the week, I’ve typed up a chapter of my book–and now it’s time to revisit the wonderful world of public education! (Thanks, I think, to Linda for the news tip.)

The Fairfax County, Virginia, Board of Education has approved a new sex-ed curriculum in which the kiddies will be taught that “gender is fluid” and, in the words of one of the board’s sages, “Biological sex is meaningless!” (https://fellowshipoftheminds.com/2018/06/05/virginia-school-board-tells-kids-they-werent-born-male-or-female/)

Okay, here’s what I want to know. Who thinks this is a good idea–and why? We don’t see any of these board members submitting to radical surgery and pumping themselves full of hormones to “transition” to another sex. Why don’t leftids themselves ever do the damned things they want everybody else to do?

Come on, there must be some loon out there who can bring us up to speed on the benefits of this kind of teaching. If you’ve got a computer in your rubber room, we’d love to hear from you.

And we’re still waiting for parents to explain why they send their kids to public schools to be educated by nuts and morons.
