The congregation at the church I grew up in used to really belt out this hymn, Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken. We made the rafters ring. The kids from Fountainview Academy, perhaps with an eye to the stability of their own rafters, sing this hymn outdoors.
This is I Thessalonians 4:13-18 set to music, and performed by the kids at Fountainview Academy. “Wherefore comfort one another with these words…” Yes–St. Paul has words of comfort for us. The Holy Spirit gave them to him, to give to us.
A former student at Fountainview Academy says this wonderful 19th century hymn, I Know Whom I Have Believed, was a sort of unofficial anthem of the girls’ dorm. Well, they could’ve picked worse!

I couldn’t resist this new release from Fountainview Academy, Rescue the Perishing. It’s from their 2017 mission trip to Mongolia. The sprawling city in the background, Ulaan Bataar, a hundred years ago was the frontier town of Kalgan.
I wonder if Mongolia is opening up as a Christian mission field.
I don’t know about you, but I could use some assurance today–Blessed Assurance. Written by Fanny Crosby in 1873, performed by the kids from Fountainview Academy on their tour of Italy–yeah, this is what I needed.
We’re all caught up on hymn requests, which means it’s time we got some more; but for the time being, Jesus Saves–by the kids from Fountainview Academy, during their visit to Prague. (Our class trip was to the Bronx Zoo.) I love this hymn, and it was many years before I was able to learn its name.
Only the folks at Fountainview Academy would have thought of putting the singers aboard a stagecoach to sing Faith Is the Victory. And take a good look at the scenery they drive through. If God preserves this much beauty in a fallen world–to keep us sane, to give us hope–what does He have in store for us when He regenerates His whole creation?
