Sen. Chuck Schumer shows us how not to BBQ : r/BBQ

Why, our U.S. senators are just plain folks! Look, here’s Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer grilling a cheeseburger. Heck, it’s like being governed by your favorite uncle.

Note the slice of cheese placed on top of the raw hamburger. This raises the question: how is he going to turn the burger? Won’t that get rather messy? Or is he only going to cook the burger on one side?

Decisions, decisions! Maybe he’ll put some ketchup on it, too… before he turns it. But what the heck, it’s only a photo-op, isn’t it?

It’s said that Davy Crockett once defined a senator as “half horse and half man.” Which half of the horse would represent Chuck Schumer?

Have we slipped back into the 1960s?

Sally Duval, a candidate for the Texas state legislature (try to guess her party!), has a new TV ad in which she smokes a joint of marijuana and then a bong–supposedly a promo for “safe, tested marijuana products.”

All my friends, once upon a time, smoked pot. I refused to, which they thought a rather comical decision. Really sophisticated people get stoned! Then they say stupid things and giggle at bad jokes. I couldn’t respect that. They constantly pressured me to join them, but I couldn’t respect that, either. It was dreary. It was dull.

So now we’re going to have this in our government? Ah, well, how much worse can it get?

Don’t answer that.

I just can’t take any more nooze today. The picture it presents resembles a Three Stooges pie fight. That’s our politics, these days.

Gee, I wish they’d all just shut up and have a pie fight! Which public figure would you most like to see smacked with a pie in the face? Politician, celebrity, washed-up actor… enough to keep a lot of bakeries busy.

I shall return later with a critter video.

Please pray for Robbie, our cat. It’s not looking good… but at least she’s eating today.
