Requested by “Thewhiterabbit,” How Great Thou Art–and I chose this rendition by Alan Jackson. My granda and my mother both used to sing this as they did their housework. How we long for the presence of the Lord, sometimes!

I grew up with this hymn. My mother and my aunts used to sing it as they did their housework. I like this rendition by Alan Jackson: How Great Thou Art. And remember, we’re always looking to add to the list of Your Favorite Hymns. If you’ve got a hymn or two, or half a dozen of them that you’d like to share, just let us know.
I grew up with this hymn. My mother used to sing it as she did her housework. It brings back fond memories.
From the list of Your Favorite Hymns, compiled by the readers: How Great Thou Art, sung by Alan Jackson.
What a beautiful video! I have to thank Erlene for requesting this hymn. I thought I’d try this new video by Taryn Harbridge–and oh, yeah! How Great Thou Art, featuring exquisite filming of a quiet winter’s day in the country, fashioned by our God’s own hands. Brought tears to my eyes!
I’ve got new shoes and no time to lose! But first I’ve just got to share this with you.
What do you get when you have some burly workmen who can sing like angels, and an empty building with great acoustics? You get The Singing Contractors, plus a pastor to make a third part, and a fantastic rendition of How Great Thou Art. Turn up the volume and play it twice!
We just found these guys this morning, on Youtube. I think we’ll be posting more of their hymns.
This is another hymn my grandma and my mother used to sing around the house–How Great Thou Art. I like this simple, mellow rendition by Alan Jackson.
Joshua requested this unusual, soothing performance of the classic hymn, How Great Thou Art, by Ron and Kelly. Instead of singing it, they let the music sing: and let the work of God’s own hands testify to His wisdom, power, and love. Because we are made in His image, we can respond to it–even without words.
Erlene requested How Great Thou Art–and who doesn’t love this hymn? I chose this rendition by Burl Ives: not the greatest sound reproduction, but I couldn’t resist the video. Beautiful flowing streams like that whisper to us, “God is nigh, God created me, He created you… God is nigh.” So you may have to turn up the volume a bit.
I had to post this as soon as I heard it, couldn’t wait until tomorrow. That’s okay, we won’t run out of hymns.
This is Sam Santiago, only ten years old, pouring out How Great Thou Art. Almost tipped me out of my chair. All I can say is, “Wow!”
Thanks to Patty’s friend, Carol, for sending us this.
This hymn brought me close to tears this morning–How Great Thou Art, sung by The Lutheran Warbler. My Grandma used to sing this as she went about her daily household chores. So did my mother. Hearing it brought them back to me.
