None of these are Democrats, are they?

I had to go to the hospital again this morning (some kind of blood test), maybe again this afternoon, twice more on Friday, horrible “diet” on Monday, and–drum roll, please–abdominal surgery on Tuesday! (And no sleep allowed on Monday night.)

[Phone rings. They have just added Thursday to the list. That’s all the weekdays.]

Well, at least I won’t have to tangle with any Nazis.

Here We Go Again with the ‘Nazis’…

So, this character from the Nebraska teachers’ union, representing a sizable sample of pedagogical thought, thinks everyone’s a “Nazi” who isn’t a Democrat. That would be most of the country.

But they are convinced that all they need is time… and at the end, a socialist paradise inhabited by obedient transgender pilgrims on the road to extinction.

Grey tree frog: I find they raise my spirits

So they had me face-down in a machine, I don’t know how long it took, it seemed exceedingly long. That was so they could identify and mark the targets for radiation treatment, instead of having to do it all over again each time. I now have tattoos that I will never see.

(“No mas, no mas!” he cried inwardly–with apologies to Roberto Duran, who was getting beat up pretty bad when he said it.)

The treatments will be five days a week. Hopefully they will shrink the cancers–maybe even enough to avoid surgery. I dassn’t count on that, but I can pray for it.

I miss my grey tree frogs, who tamed almost instantly. Unfortunately their nightly concerts kept my housemates awake, so I had to let the frogs go back to their swamp. I only mention it to let a bit of normalcy shine in.
