Bonus Hymn, ‘Jesus Saves’

I’ve been plugging away at the nooze all day, we’ve received daunting news from a dear friend, and while I was looking for something else, this hymn appeared on my screen: Jesus Saves, as sung at Synod 2012 of the United Reformed Church.

Lord, we can use some saving! We could use a lot of it. Hear our prayers, and be not far from us! Amen.

(Yes, I know I’ve posted this before. It’s one of my favorites.)

‘We Have Heard the Joyful Sound’

I know, I know–I post this hymn pretty often: Jesus Saves {“We Have Heard the Joyful Sound”], as sung at Synod 2012, Nyack, NY, of the United Reformed Church.

“Jesus saves.” If that is not the heart of the Christian message, I don’t know what is.

‘We Have Heard the Joyful Sound’

No hymn requests have come in today; but I had a hankering to hear this hymn, so here it is: We Have Heard the Joyful Sound (Jesus Saves), as sung at the URC’s 2012 Cynod at Nyack, NY. That’s the Hudson River down there–and beautiful countryside.

‘We Have Heard the Joyful Sound’ (Plus Prayer Request)

Here’s another one of those hymns I’m afraid I post too often–Jesus Saves, as sung at Synod 2012 in the Hudson River valley.

I can’t help it. We are taking a hammering this year. One more bill like this week’s vet bill… can’t even bear to think of it.

And please, we need your prayers for Robbie. She’s supposed to be pretty much okay, the doctor said so. But it doesn’t look that way.

(The hernia operation, the refrigerator, the computer, the car… next it’ll be my head falls off or something…)

‘We Have Heard the Joyful Sound’

No hymn requests this morning, so I’m on my own. First hymn I think of today… We Have Heard the Joyful Sound (Jesus Saves), as sung at Synod 2012 of the United Reformed Church. That’s the Hudson River in the background.

[And it didn’t snow last night.]

‘Jesus Saves’

I’m worn out from trying to straighten out the mess with readers’ comments–but I think we’re almost there. Could I take a day off from it?

Meanwhile, here’s one of my favorite hymns–Jesus Saves (We Have Heard the Joyful Sound), as sung at Synod 2012 of the United Reformed Church at Nyack College, New York. That’s the Hudson River in the picture: God’s handiwork.

‘Jesus Saves’

I loved this hymn years before I could find out what it was called: Jesus Saves (also called We Have Heard the Joyful Sound). Sung here at the United Reformed Church Synod 2012 at Nyack College, New York. Those are the tree-clad banks of the Hudson River–God’s stuff, the beautiful work of His hands.
