Easter’s Not for White People Anymore?

Fake Church: How To Be The Church When You Can't Go To Church - WEGO

The First Untied [let the typo stand] Church in Oak Park, Illinois, has announced that it will “fast from whiteness” (?) throughout the Lenten season (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/04/woke-church-illinois-plans-fast-whiteness-lenten-season/). Yowsah, the church will not use “any music or liturgy written or composed by white people.” (Maybe I should’ve said “unglued.”)

The term “white people” is not defined.

Need we point out that the church’s leadership is all white liberals? Does that surprise anyone at all?

See how they corrupt everything they touch? It’s as if they’ve decided Easter is not for white people anymore. No resurrection for you, baby! Only Persons Of Color in Heaven.

You really have to be ashamed of yourself if you stay in a church that does this.

  1. Just checking out this church’s website is sickening in my spirit. The liberalism is all over it. So the passage of Scripture where God instructs Noah to build the ark and the reasons for it are all a myth. Yeah, right. I’m sure Noah, in heaven now, feels very mythic about his hundred years of building the ark. And then, having to see the destruction that came with all the rain. His friends that he may have had were now gone and he and his family were the only ones left. Yeah, it’s just a myth.

  2. So “white” people aren’t considered children of God by this church?

And all those urgings in Scripture to sing and make music to the Lord — I guess some of us didn’t notice the footnotes that said “except white people.”

  3. In one way, things like this are a blessing. They let all know, there is now no doubt, that that place is an organization (I cannot call it a church) of evil. For the most part, with people, organizations, etc., gray areas are now mostly gone, it’s now clearly black or white, very evil, or very good. And Christians can no longer continue to dip their feet into the evil of so many different organizations. Time to startup some good organizations. Come out of them my people, says the Lord. “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers…what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God” II Corinthians

    1. I’m with you on this. I’ve been troubled by some of what I see in various denominations, but I also realize that this tells me that these people are not sticking to tne word of God and I don’t need to view them as representing God in any way.

The contrast between good and evil is becoming very obvious, and people are making their own choices about where they stand. This brings to mind Joshua 24:15.
