I missed this story when it first came out in April. The former Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, signed this anti-Scriptural screed, authored by an “activist” for sodomy

Gee, if he ever needs a career change, we could offer him a seat on the Supreme Court. One of them doesn’t know what a woman is, either.

Is the Church of England even a church anymore? In light of  current public declarations, I think we’re more than justified in asking that.

They’re not fooling us.

The way things are going, they’ll eventually cast aside all pretense and be out-and-out antichrists. (Ya mean they aren’t already? Could’ve fooled me!) But for the time being it still suits Democrats to make believe they’re Christians.

Why Do Leftids Claim to be Christians?

Of course, it doesn’t help that the Pope himself aids and abets such reprobates as Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden, two politicians who couldn’t be more anti-Christ if their names were Marx and Lenin.

And none of this would have happened if the Church remembered it was a Church and not a social club for virtue-signallers.

Fake Church: How To Be The Church When You Can't Go To Church - WEGO

The First Untied [let the typo stand] Church in Oak Park, Illinois, has announced that it will “fast from whiteness” (?) throughout the Lenten season (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/04/woke-church-illinois-plans-fast-whiteness-lenten-season/). Yowsah, the church will not use “any music or liturgy written or composed by white people.” (Maybe I should’ve said “unglued.”)

The term “white people” is not defined.

Need we point out that the church’s leadership is all white liberals? Does that surprise anyone at all?

See how they corrupt everything they touch? It’s as if they’ve decided Easter is not for white people anymore. No resurrection for you, baby! Only Persons Of Color in Heaven.

You really have to be ashamed of yourself if you stay in a church that does this.

The Christian Post editorial board is trying to analyze the support of “pro-life evangelicals, some of them noted biblical scholars,” for… Joe Biden (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/3893322/posts). We are not told who has noted these chumps as biblical scholars.

But did I hear that right? You guys, you pro-life evangelical Bible scholars–you’re supporting this guy who’s a friend to the abortion industry? And you say “Donald Trump’s a racist and Joe Biden isn’t!”–surely a highly debatable point–while ignoring the massive abortion numbers for black Americans. You’re for “gay marriage” Biden? For “Put Christians on a terrorist watch list” Biden? “Endorsed by Planned Parenthood” Biden?

Yeahbut, yeahbut! what about Climate Change? Huh? Huh? What bunk.

Biblical scholars, my ass. This is worse than contemptible. You can cut the hypocrisy with a knife. Wait’ll they start tossing pastors and elders in jail for not repudiating the Bible. You know–like they do in Sweden. Will they wring their scholarly hands?

Okay–here’s a public figure who publicly supports abortion, publicly says the Bible is dead wrong in calling homosexuality a sin, continually sides with atheists in their efforts to drive Christianity out of public life, insists “it’s against the law” to exercise one’s Christian beliefs except in strictest privacy, sympathizes passionately with Islam, and wants the government to “investigate Climate Change Denial.” Of course this person is a Democrat. But he or she also claims, loudly and often, to be a Christian.

“Watchman” asked a good question the other day. Why do so many leftists claim to be Christian, when their actions say otherwise? Why do Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, and all the rest of ’em all claim to be Christians–when their religion is obviously secular humanism? Why do they do it? What do they get out of it?

I think the answer consists of several parts.

First, these are politicians, and the vast majority of voters in America are at least nominally Christian. I dare anybody to run for office as an atheist. He might get elected in some of the bluest of the Blue States, but nowhere else. What could be easier than to say “I’m a Christian?” It doesn’t have to be true.

Second, the church in our time has been extensively corrupted by the secular world. There are whole denominations matching the description of the fake Christian politician in our opening paragraph. You can practically perform human sacrifices to the Devil, and there will be a flatline Protestant or crazed liberal Catholic church that’ll be glad to have you.

Third, never underestimate the power of ignorance. There are a lot of “Christians” who have never read the Bible, never heard sound preaching, never received sound teaching, whose entire so-called understanding of the faith comes from movies, TV, celebrities, and plastic-banana big shots with their megachurches. The “seeker-friendly church” is the blind leading the blind.
