‘Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring’

Nothing yet for our Christmas Carol Contest today, so I’m on my own.

Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, by Johann Sebastian Bach–not per se a Christmas hymn, but this seems usually to be the time of year for it. Performed by the New London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Leopold Stokowski.

  1. Lovely. But for the rest of today I’ll probably be reading quickly and not responding, because I had a lot of chores this morning and my inbox is about to overflow onto a second page even after I’ve deleted at least a dozen or so “unimportants” and “annoyings” — from other people, not you, I hasten to add! 😲

    1. With all the cyber-failure-craziness yesterday, I have completely forgotten to write my Newswithviews… and now I have to take Robbie for her checkup. Not much chance of catching up!

    2. When I pray for you and Patty every day, I also pray for Robbie — and for all your readers, especially by name the “regulars” here and most especially (also by name) those who are suffering or in pain. You’ve built not only a blog here but a family. God bless you.

Hmphh, now I’ve embarrassed myself. So I’ll change the subject to a carol request. I know we usually do Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus for Easter, but it’s certainly applicable for Christmas, no? The three Magi and all the angels singing over the sheepfold on Christmas night seemed to think so. 🙂
