(Gee, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen one of these…)
Well! Got up early to go to the hospital for another blood test, then an hour of physical therapy, then off to a nearby medi-center to get a couple bottles of barium for some scans they want to do on Monday.
Among other things I’d rather do than this stuff, it’d be nice listen to a few toads calling at night. It’s really quite melodious, and they don’t do rap music.
Sitting on the deck of our rented shore house, watching the sun go down over Barnegat Bay. You can hear the toads there, too.
Night sounds like toad and tree frogs are so relaxing. God’s ideas are great.
I wish we had some around here. They’re music is so comforting.
Is the physical therapy starting to help any?
Well, Patty says so, and so do some of the therapists. I can’t see me walking, so I have to take their word for it.
I could definitely do with some toad music.
It might be hard to come by, in Arizona.
Actually, in the river valley near the San Xavier del Bac Mission, just south of Tucson, I’ve seen numerous toads, including some which were surprisingly large, but they only seem to come out during monsoons.
This is a surprising climate in which to live. It’s a desert, to be sure, but we have a true abundance of wildlife and incredible variety.
