Blah-blah-blah-blah-blah!
Newsies have been singin’ the blues, these past few years, completely mystified as to why the public doesn’t seem to like or trust them anymore.
Gee, you could have a contest! In 25 words or less, “I no longer trust mainstream media newsies because ________.” The answer that turns me on the most wins an autographed book.
By cracky, it is a contest! Yes, let’s do it! We could use some livening up around here. Submit as many answers as you like. I’ll share them, day to day, with the readership. Let’s vent, already! They’re trying to impose another Democrat presidency on us–they deserve to get it with both barrels.
The contest starts NOW.
Are they not aware of how biased they are? Do they think we are just ignorant children? I remember listening to some actual journalists years ago but there are none of those guys left.
There seems to be a social phenomenon of wanting to be on the side of the underdog. Going back decades, I recall seeing television newscasters, especially on local television, would exert themselves to be seen as conspicuously empathetic. With social media and the immediate feedback that is possible in our day, virtue signaling has become a growth industry, and the mainstream media is leading the charge.
There are elements of society who can’t get enough of this nonsense, but there are also many people who are not fooled by this grandstanding and realize that what is called news has become, in fact, just another form of entertainment. And that’s the point; news is no longer news, it is just another form of entertainment. Integrity and accuracy have become secondary to coming up with stories which entice viewers and keep the ratings up.
If you feed the masses garbage, sooner or later the masses will catch on and tire of being fed garbage. What puzzles me is why network news programs can attract advertisers. How are these “news organizations” surviving?
Meanwhile, with all the nooze organizations on both sides of the fence giving up reporting in favor of round-the-clock wishful thinking… How the devil do we know whose, uh, “reporting” to trust?
Good question, and my answer is they do not deserve it. When will enough people become fed up with this garbage and by abandoning them make it unprofitable.
… they are owned by just six corporations that use this monopoly to gaslight the American people into believing in a globalist worldview.
Is it working?
