It’s been a long time since I heard this hymn, Come Thou Almighty King. Here it is, performed by Keith and Krystyn Getty.

I had a very bad night last night, so if you want to help me out, request a hymn or two.

  1. How about “I Love You Lord Today”? Some versions do it in such slow motion that the sense almost gets lost, but there are others with a good steady beat. I often sing this hymn in my head after Holy Communion in church. (No choir or organ at the 7am Mass, thank goodness. The silence gives me time and space to focus on the Lord.)
