A Rabbit With a Habit

I’ve always loved bunnies, ever since my Grammie gave me a nice yellow bunny when I was four or five years old. I loved that bunny for years and years until he fell apart. Don’t worry, that happened well before high school.

I’ve never had a real, live bunny; but if I did, I don’t think I’d want to get him interested in arcade games. That claw game–pfah! Just ask anybody on any Jersey boardwalk–you never win.

Just wait’ll the bunny in this video figures out he can operate the machine anytime he wants, if he feeds it money.

A Wacky Wabbit

At first glance you might wonder, “What in the world kind of animal is this?” I mean, he looks like something from Dr. Seuss.

Actually he’s an Angora rabbit, and the reason he looks so strange is that he’s recently been shorn, except for his ears. These rabbits have to be barbered regularly, to keep them healthy. But left his ears alone.

His name is Wally and he’s a bit of a star on youtube–high-spirited little guy, very playful. I imagine that if all his fur were left on, he would look like an oversized tribble with wings.

Video Treat: Bunnies’ Playtime

If you don’t like harmless and entirely benign video featuring pet bunnies, hey, I’m sorry–this is to get the taste of the day’s news out of my mouth.

Observe how pointedly the cat ignores the bunnies. Cats do hate being upstaged, don’t they?

Anyhow, here’s someone who went to a great deal of trouble so her bunnies could have their playtime in the house. As Aunt Joan always used to say, “She’ll get her reward in heaven for that.”

Video Treat: Bunnies at Play

I don’t know what kind of sense bunnies make of our human world, but at least they seem determined to enjoy it. I had no idea bunnies were as playful as this.

And now two other fuzzy parties are meowing for their supper, so it’s hasta la vista for me.

Bunnies Love a Nice Sofa

Everybody knows what living room furniture is for. It’s for your pets to play on.

Here, it looks like some effort has been made to accommodate these bunnies. Maybe the owner has finally realized that it’s their sofa, not his.

His cats must have trained him well.
