Mille Bornes Card Game (1960 Parker Brothers Bilingual Edition) - Fonts In Use

Not so fast there, chuckles!

There’s a lot of doom, defeat, and despair out there! Even among prominent conservative commentators, there’s a sense of “We’re just a lot of grasshoppers compared to those giants on the Left, and they’re gonna stomp us.”

Have the Bad Guys Won?

Shake it off, my friends! It’s all an illusion: they want you to believe it. They’ve worked so hard to create it, half of ’em believe it themselves. They want you to think you’re the only one left who hasn’t hopped aboard the Transgender Express.

But we outnumber them colossally–and if we could only put those numbers to work! We’d blow these jidrools out of the water in a day and still have time for a snappy game of Mille Bornes.

We really do have to stop falling for the spin.

Wackos on Culture Wars: ‘We’ve Won!’

Sam Smith & Kim Petras Deliver Fiery Performance of "Unholy" | 2023 GRAMMYs

No, I did not watch the Grammy Awards last night. So I missed MSNBC’s “Joy” Reid saying “The culture wars are over and The Left won!” (https://dailycaller.com/2023/02/06/joy-reid-ron-desantis-grammys-culture-war/).

Yeah. Oh, boy–Satanism! Oh, boy–sodomy! Oh, boy, wow–diversity, equity, and inclusion! On behalf of all this great stuff, Reid celebrated “the total defeat” of conservatism. “They can’t win!”

The ratings for this monstrosity were up 30% from last year. I don’t know why; but I strongly suspect that it does not mean that the American people have embraced the Far Left Crazy. I don’t know how the Left gets away with continually and even obsessively provoking us, but I’m pretty sure most of us have not switched sides.

The Left thinks it’s won the culture wars.

I pray it’s the beginning of their collapse. Meanwhile, I’m still fighting.

Just how tone-deaf are America’s great entertainers?

Featured in the Grammy Awards this weekend was an appeal by the Recording Academy asking President Donald Trump could they please have some more money ( http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/musicians-ask-trump-for-money-help-after-grammys-bashing/article/2614639 ).

Amazing. You go on national TV and express your loathing for the president, for the people who support him (that would be us), and then try to panhandle them for money. “You dirty racist xenophobic biggit! Would you please help us out?” Not an approach which most people would find effective.

The Academy honcho invoked “our collective responsibility”–“our?”–for using the arts to unite America. When they’re not calling us “deplorables” and “Nazis,” etc.

You have to go all the way back to the Old Testament to find a less persuasive argument. In 1 Kings Chapter 12, Rehoboam, the son of King Solomon, seeking to persuade the ten tribes in rebellion against him to come back into his kingdom, proposed to the people, “My father made your yoke heavy, and I will add to your yoke: my father also chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions” (v. 14). Nice pitch, Rehoboam. Didn’t quite win them over with that, did you?

Rehoboam had the makings of a modern American music celebrity.
