Bonus Hymn, ‘He Hideth My Soul’

I’m so tired, and it’s so perishin’ cold outside today–how about a good old-fashioned hymn? Something by Fanny Crosby. Really, I don’t want to post any more nooze today.

All right, here it is: He Hideth My Soul, sung by the Antrim Mennonite Choir. Turn to the Lord, and He will turn to us.

‘He Hideth My Soul’

A classic hymn by Fanny Crosby, published 1890, performed on a beach in Hawaii by students from Fountainview Academy–He Hideth My Soul.

Look how clean and clear the water is! Just as God made it.

‘He Hideth My Soul’

Fanny Crosby wrote eight or nine thousand hymns, and this is one of them–He Hideth My Soul, performed by Nathan and Lyle, with family and friends, in someone’s living room. Make a joyful noise until the Lord!

‘He Hideth My Soul’

Well, if people won’t show up to hear a Fanny Crosby hymn sung by the kids from Fountainview Academy, I guess they just won’t show up at all.

He Hideth My Soul, by Fanny Crosby. I sang this to a couple of deer once.

Play It Again, Lee (‘He Hideth My Soul’)

I’ve just finished writing my Newswithviews column for the week. The day’s nooze has left a bad taste in my mouth. But this hymn has been in my mind all day–so I’m going to post it again.

He Hideth My Soul, by Fanny Crosby, sung by the Antrim Mennonite Choir–and it’s as fresh and uplifting as it was when it first came out in 1890. An antidote to nooze!

‘He Hideth My Soul’

This was the first hymn that popped into my head last night, when I was looking for a hymn to start this morning. Well, why not? You can’t beat a hymn by Fanny Crosby, sung by the kids from Fountainview Academy. This video was filmed during their visit to Hawaii.

‘He Hideth My Soul’

Let’s start the day with a classic Fanny Crosby hymn from 1890–He Hideth My Soul, sung by Nathan and Lyle with family and friends.

Y’know, we do take hymn requests, and we’re happy to do it: but only a few of you ever ask. Really, it’s the easiest thing in the world–just make your hymn request in a comment anywhere on the blog, and we’ll do the rest.

‘He Hideth My Soul’

You can’t beat this combination–a beach in Hawaii, a classic hymn by Fanny Crosby, and students from Fountainview Academy to perform it: He Hideth My Soul.

As of today, I need a few dozen hymns to fill the cart with Your Favorite Hymns. So step right up, don’t be shy!

So I thought, “One more try, what can it hurt?>” And, behold–we have this morning’s hymn. I have no idea why it refused to post the first time.

Well, we are blessed with this–a Fanny Crosby hymn, He Hideth My Soul, performed by the kids from Fountainview Academy on a beach in Hawaii. See how the waves have carved and shaped the lava rock: our God is a very patient sculptor.

You can’t go wrong with a hymn by Fanny Crosby, and she wrote eight or nine thousand of them–including this one, He Hideth My Soul. Performed by Nathan and Lyle, with family and friends, in Denton County, Texas.
