I give up. Where do you find a picture that illustrates this lunacy?

What would you even call San Francisco, anymore?

Imagine trying to operate a grocery store where, in addition to massive shoplifting that goes massively unpunished by the authorities, you’ve got head-cases coming in and defecating on the floor, pulling produce off the shelves and throwing it at each other, plus the usual drug use, muggings, etc. And when you’ve finally had enough…they won’t let you close the store! They won’t let you go out of business!

They first tried to legislate this crapola in 1984; it was vetoed by then-mayor Dianne Feinstein (https://nypost.com/2024/04/08/business/san-francisco-lawmakers-want-to-let-city-residents-sue-grocery-stores/).

Well, it’s back. Two Far Left wackos on the city’s Board of Supervisors are pushing it. Oh, it’s not all bad! Rather than going out of business because it’s impossible to do business, they’ll let you subject yourself to “discussions” with (LOL) residents… as if it were ordinary sane people taking a dump in the cereal aisle. You gotta give six months’ notice while they steal everything but the shirt off your back.

But listen, really, they’re all heart! If your store should be destroyed in a fire or an earthquake or some other natural disaster, they’ll waive the six-month requirement. 

I was going to ask “How in the world do you even try to govern a city where these things happen?” until I realize it’s the idiots already governing the city who make these things happen.

If you’re goin’ to San Francisco… get your head examined.

The Price of Godlessness

Does everybody have to carry pepper spray now?

There is a price to be paid for Godlessness; and Washington, D.C., is paying it.

Last year Washington’s violent crime rate went up 39 percent (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/01/dc-police-arrests-9-13-year-old-children/). A recent example:

Two children, aged 13 and nine (!) were arrested after they tried to rob a woman at knifepoint. She fended them off with pepper spray, although they kept trying to stab her. Police arrived before they could succeed.

How far is this going to go? How high this year’s violent crime rate? And then there’s San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and others. Stores closing every day, unable to cope with waves of shoplifting. Human feces on the sidewalk.Democrats calling “Defund the police!” At some point these cities will become uninhabitable: nobody left there but the gangs.Prosecutors not bothering to prosecute.

This is how our leaders run our cities. We are losing our cities.

It has to stop. Somehow it has to stop.

Beyond the point of no repair

Columnist and historian Victor Davis Hanson has asked a very good question:

“What does a people do when its highest officials simply renounce their oaths of office and refuse to enforce laws that they don’t like?” (https://amgreatness.com/2023/03/05/life-among-the-ruins/).

These officials, he says–and I agree–are ruining our country. They’re turning our cities into dirty, crime-ridden hellholes; and once the damage is irreparable, they’ll get to work on the suburbs.

It’s more than just refusing to enforce laws that they don’t like. It’s even more than crooked DAs refusing to prosecute crime and seeing to it that criminals are released back onto the streets as soon as possible. Our highest officials promote, enable, and strengthen groups and activities that do real harm. It’s like they really hate America and are doing their level best to destroy it–or at least turn it into something unrecognizable to sane people who remember better times.

Are there really, truly accredited doctors who sincerely believe that boys can–and should be!–turned into girls, and girls into boys? Are there really, truly high officials who sincerely believe that our nation’s borders can–and should be!–erased?

And so on, and so on.

The question won’t go away. “What do a people do” when this level of misgovernment is done to them?

I believe Thomas Jefferson had the answer to that question. You’ll find it in the Declaration of Independence.
