Hymn, ‘As Longs the Hart’
As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so pantheth my soul after thee, O God.
(Psalm 42:1)
This is a new one, as hymns go, published in 1975. But the lyrics are based on Psalm 42 and the traditional British folk melody is as old as the hills: and it’s a very beautiful hymn.
