Hey, it’s raining again, it’s Friday, my blood pressure’s back down to where it ought to be (we now think I bollixed up the monitor yesterday and got some crazy readings)–so how about a bunch of puppies learning how to howl?
Imitation is a great teacher, even if you’re a puppy being taught the fine art of howling by a human being.
If we had been creating the world, instead of God, we never, never would have thought of puppies. Thank you, Lord!
All right, I can’t stand any more. My blood pressure has shot way up again, for reasons I don’t know, and I need a cat break.
Observe this young fellow intently watching TV. I’ve had cats who watched for a while but then gave it up when they learned they could never get at the critters that lived inside it.
Y’know, you’d almost swear that some of these dogs and cats are talking–not necessarily in English.
Anyhow, you’re sure to get a few chuckles out of this.

If you don’t have a cat, run out and get one. Just kidding. But they are fun.
My wife is in love with this noisy little character, so here he is: Ollie the talkative Siamese kitten. By now he has grown up to be a talkative cat.
Shouldn’t let him bite, though. It reminds me of how I used to think it was so cute to get down on all fours and encourage Buster the kitten to ride on my back. He really took to it, and when he was a full-grown very big cat, he’d hop on anybody’s back. That did not always go over very well.
Anything can happen when dogs and cats are brought up in the same household. And what usually happens is, the cat steals the dog’s new bed. These poor dogs don’t know what to do about it.
I wish I had a picture of my iguana cuddled up on my bed between his two good friends–a schnauzer and a big black cat.
You won’t believe how ecstatically happy this dog is over his introduction to this baby goat. You gotta hand it to dogs: they have a gift for joy. The goat is more concerned with trying to understand this new environment and keeping his feet–er, hooves–on the slippery wooden floor. The dog skids all over the place but is having too much fun to care.
Isn’t God’s stuff cool?
Here’s something I’ll bet you never thought of–a pet weasel. Handsome little beggar, and full of fun. I wonder if you can get him to go “Pop!”
We have here some dogs who let their imaginations run away with them. This is how dogs make their own fun, and it takes a certain amount of intelligence to do that. You can’t have imagination without intelligence. Well, some intelligence, at least: not necessarily enough to meet your needs.
But you can’t deny it–dogs know how to have fun.
I was going to post some slowworm video, but decided not to push my luck. So here are some cats instead.
My cats have always liked to help me make the bed. They dive under the sheets, on top of the sheets, and have a wonderful time. If you get to playing with them, you can have a wonderful time, too–although the bed doesn’t get made.
A word of caution: Do not attempt any of this with a waterbed.
