But this I do understand…
So much nooze I didn’t write about today, I’m only human–but I did read it.
I’m not going to repeat any of that stuff here, except to confess that I’m totally unable to understand it.
The nooze tells me that the Far Left Crazy, laboring maniacally to fundamentally transform our country, wants lots and lots of gay, tons of transgender, massive poverty, and a high level of background violence, presided over by an all-powerful government of fabulously wealthy socialist gangsters.
What I don’t understand is why. Why do they want those things? What does anyone gain by indoctrinating children into self-destructive sexual and moral anarchy? Okay, the jidrools in charge get ever richer and more powerful. But their supporters don’t. And they have millions of supporters–who apparently find it objectionable that they live in a prosperous, reasonably just country with stable social, political, and economic institutions. Why on earth would they want to overthrow it?
My friend and editor Susan tells me they want these things because they’re insane–and, whether they know it or not, in love with death and darkness. And maybe they truly believe the world’s gonna come crashing to an end in just twelve years, so they might as well break all the boundaries and live like monsters. But that’s speculation. They do what they do, and tell us what they want to do, and I just don’t get it.
All I do understand about it is that they have to be defeated. Utterly. And may Jesus Christ Our Lord defend us.
Be encouraged, and bear in mind Ephesians 6:12. The fight is not against flesh and blood, but against powers and principalities. And Christ has already defeated those! All we have to do is stand firm in the armor of faith, and employ the weapons of prayer and the Word of God. With these we will liberate all who are His, but who currently are prisoners of darkness.

I am convinced that what we are seeing now is characteristically different from anything that has happened in the past. As you me nation, our war is spiritual and I suspect that the Satanic forces are on an all out push to gain dominance. Truly, the logic of the world has all but inverted over the last 5-10 years and I don’t believe this is random.God is allowing these extremes in order for all to see clearly the choice before them; the order of a loving Creator or the mayhem of Satan.
Amen come quickly, Lord Jesus.

Their insane, no doubt, but they also know exactly what they are doing by attacking Western civilization, Christianity, and every cultural, moral, and social norm. They want chaos. They want to tear down the existing system so they can remake it in their own image. Of course the end result will be a nightmare, but the utopian fantasy is what drives them.
My answer is simple. It’s all Eve and Adam’s fault! (Notice I mentioned her first.)
Now bad stuff is in our DNA and we have to resist it all the time. Thank God for His help, if we remember to ask. Come, Lord Jesus!
Today at our mid-week Advent Service with Communion, our pastor preached on Psalm 110 which declares “The LORD said unto my Lord, sit at My right hand until I make all Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.” This is the most quoted verse in the N.T. Remember how Stephen saw Jesus at the right hand of God as he was martyred? Our victory is assured because Christ will bring it to pass. We are living in a dark age, and it is our faith in Christ’s predetermined victory that overcomes the world.
