It is difficult now; it is our time of testing. We have to trust what God has promised us in His Word. It is by no means easy, otherwise it would not be a test. Peter told us “cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you…” That is sometimes difficult, too, but without faith it is impossible to please God. It has to be an act of the will.
