Well, we’ve got some worship going on here today, and I feel honored to be hosting it.
Hymn request! From Phoebe: Are You Washed in the Blood of the Lamb?, by Alan Jackson. And you get a bonus, because he segues right into I’ll Fly Away.

Now THAT is foot-stomping worship!
We used to sing both of those songs. This is very tame, compared to some of the foot-stomping, wild worship services I have been too. Ya an’t seeen nothin’ til you’ve been to a worship service with 200 hundred fired-up Pentecostals, some running the aisles, women dancing, until their long hair, once neatly piled upon their heads, was all let loose and flying all over, people weeping, some on their knees, some jumping for joy with arms waving, punctuated with loud shouts of “Praise the Lord”, “Hallelujah” and “Thank you Jesus” … yeah, a bit wild…
That tends not to happen in Dutch Reformed churches.
