This has long been one of my favorite hymns–Be Thou My Vision, an ancient Irish hymn. Sung here by the Lebanon County Youth Chorus.

  1. “If thy eye be single thy whole body will be full of light.” The beatific vision is seeing Jesus on the cross dying in place of us.
