Dog and Parrot -True Friends

Wild Squirrel and Dog Become Friends

Dog and Pig are true brothers

Dog & Deer–Best Friends

This is crazy–in a completely wonderful way. A golden retriever and a doe are best friends–and have been for 11 years running. So much for “nature red with tooth and claw.” The dog loves the doe’s fawns, too. Each year there are new fawns to love.

God shows us these odd things for a reason. I think He’s reminding us that there is a Peaceable Kingdom to be gained.

P.S.: There’s a cat involved here, too!

Critter Video: Kitten and Puppy

Forget all that stuff about them being natural enemies. Domestication has it licked.

It’s natural for a kitten and a puppy to play together. Either one of them could always run away. And at the end they cuddle up for a nap.

We praise the Creator who gave us this.

The Cat’s Funny Friend

This video takes me back to happy times! My iguana had dog and cat friends, and a lot of cuddling went on–especially on winter days, with snow outside. You should’ve seen them. Cat, dog, lizard, all cuddled up on the bed. Three amigos.

God’s Stuff: Dog Loves Baby Pig

That last post about Germany cracking down on “dissidents” left a bad taste in my soul. So I looked around for an antidote… and found this.

Great big dog, little bitty piglet, lots of love–of course I think of it as God’s stuff. He has filled His world with things that save our sanity and always point to something better.

Now don’t run out and buy a baby pig for your apartment. There are two drawbacks. First, the piglet will grow into a rather large animal, probably sooner than you expected. Second, and more importantly, I’ve read that pigs are very affectionate and bond very strongly with humans and other animals. That confers on you a responsibility for a fellow creature’s happiness.

On the other hand, you’ll never be expected to send your pig to college. And your pig will never stop loving you.

Cuddly Critters

You’d think a big dog wouldn’t think twice about devouring a rabbit or a guinea pig. But domestication engages most mammals’ better nature–and anyhow, you can never get too much cuddling and it’ll never do you anything but good. Ask any of these animals.

Dog & Iguana: Best Friends

My iguana liked dogs and always tried to make friends with them. The only dog who didn’t respond was Pepper, my parents’ dog, who always ran away and hid under the furniture. But the cozy scene you’re seeing in this video happened around here a lot, in real life.

We are told there’s another iguana in this video-maker’s household who doesn’t get along with the dog at all. Well, they’re individuals, like we are. They’ll do their own thing.
