Do They Really Think We’re Buying This?

US President Joe Biden kneels before Rivka Ravitz, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin's chief of staff, after learning she has 12 children (Haim Zach/GPO)

Self-alleged president Joe Biden is in hot water with the U.S. Catholic bishops for his enthusiastic support for abortion. He wants it both ways: he wants to parade his Catholicism, but at the same time, promote abortion–which, of course, is flagrantly opposed to church teaching.

So he gets a visit at the White House from the outgoing president of Israel, who was accompanied by an aide–an ultra-Orthodox woman who’s had 12 children.

And Biden takes a knee! Like, wow, twelve children! Boy, do I ever respect her! Just look how much I respect her!

Oh, please. You could cut the hypocrisy with a machete. In fact, you’d need a machete. It’s that thick.

Are the U.S. bishops going to fall for this?

Only if they want to fall for it! It’d save them some trouble with the Vatican, and the Red Pope–who want to keep on giving communion to “Catholic” politicians who support and promote abortion. Of whom Biden is the chief.

God help us.

U.S. Bishops Move Toward Denying Communion to Pols Who Support Abortion

The murder (in the cathedral!) of St. Thomas a Becket

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, in search of “Eucharistic coherence,” yesterday voted almost 3-1 to “proceed with drafting a formal statement on the meaning of Communion” which would include a provision to deny Communion to Catholic politicians who support abortion (https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/559167-bishops-vote-to-proceed-with-drafting-document-on-denying-communion).

Biden, Pelosi, Kerry, Cuomo–are you listening?

A formal vote will be taken at the bishops’ next meeting in November, having allowed four months for debate.

Their action would have to be approved by the Vatican, which has signaled that it will not approve the measure–thus achieving Eucharistic incoherence. “It’s okay for the big shots to support abortion, but it’s still a sin!”

Where’s St. Thomas a Becket when we need him? But he was murdered for asserting the church’s independence from the King of England.

The Red Pope says he doesn’t want the Eucharist to be “used as a political weapon.” Well, sunshine, it goes with the territory.

I wonder if there’s a schism in the church’s future.

Joe Biden thanks Pope Francis for his 'blessings' in call with pontiff

Why did Pope Francis this week back out of giving Communion to Joe Biden? I mean, since when do abortion-happy Democrat politicians not receive Communion? Read on:

The Pope’s Mixed Message

Meanwhile, American bishops are worried that they’re not making sense anymore, so they want to come to a meeting of the minds on “Eucharistic coherence.” As a possible alternative to Eucharistic incoherence.

Churches forfeit their moral authority when they decide a sin is not a sin and the Bible’s wrong for saying it is.

I think I’d have to tell those bishops that the S.S. Moral Authority sailed several years ago…

And that the raft of expediency won’t hold them.
