This is supposed to be a blog post. Somehow it got up on top of the home page and I have no idea how to get rid of it.
Dogs and cats have much more fun chasing each other than I have, trying to figure out how to work this thrice-bedamned computer.

Dogs and cats have much more fun chasing each other than I have, trying to figure out how to work this thrice-bedamned computer.
Why are all these dogs so scared of cats? I mean, it’s supposed to be the other way around, right? Especially when the dog is so much bigger than the cat. Who can explain this mystery?
My iguana used to chase a housemate’s cat out of my room because that cat had a habit of pooing on the bed. The other cat, and the dog, were his friends and the three of them would cuddle up on the bed together. But the poo-cat, uh-uh–not allowed.
But I don’t think that dynamic is at work here.
Our fuzzy friends are hunters at heart, and when they don’t have anything truly worth hunting–like a shadow, their own tails, a flicker of light, a jingly toy–they’ll hunt each other.
There is a few seconds in here of a cat catching a bird. Well, we all know cats like to do that. Happily, the camera didn’t pick up the gory details. But if you don’t want your cats to catch birds, mice, or harmless little snakes, don’t let ’em outside.
Whether it’s turning your living room into a shambles, or just pulling the bumper off a police car, once dogs and cats get to obstreperating, they just don’t stop.
I am so glad my cats don’t do stuff like this. Yipes!
I feel like I ought to apologize for the loathsome and distressing news I posted here today. Believe me, I didn’t like it. I did it because I thought it was my duty.
So here, instead, is a cat who wants the dog to wake up and play with him, and a dog who is determined to stay asleep no matter what. Whose will is stronger? Watch the video, and find out.
Remote-controlled toys–you’d think cats and dogs would really like them. Well, some do and some don’t. But I think you’ll see that most of these cats and dogs react to a new and unfamiliar situation with firmness and resolve.
Anything can happen when dogs and cats are brought up in the same household. And what usually happens is, the cat steals the dog’s new bed. These poor dogs don’t know what to do about it.
I wish I had a picture of my iguana cuddled up on my bed between his two good friends–a schnauzer and a big black cat.
At the risk of getting a reputation for having a wacky blog, I offer this compilation of dogs trying to sit on cats, suggested by reader “LifeIsGood.”
I have no idea why these dogs wish to sit on cats and take so much trouble over it. I’m too big to experiment on my cats. Maybe it’s a dog’s idea of nice upholstery.
Remember this news story from two or three years ago? If you missed it then, prepare to see something incredible.
Cats pay back the love you give them. Don’t believe anyone who says they don’t.
