‘He Who Would Valiant Be’

Presented by Chet Valley Churches, inspired by Pilgrim’s Progress, we have He Who Would Valiant Be.

Boy, oh boy, though. Here at Chez Leester our pilgrimage has been an endurance test, and uphill all the way. (More about that in the next post.)

What can we do but follow the Master? He’s the one who knows the way.

‘All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name’

All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name, written by Edward Perronet in 1780, was a favorite hymn at my old church, although with a very different melody.

Sung here by the Chet Valley Church.

It’s the day before Easter. Prepare to celebrate the kingship of Our Lord Jesus Christ!

‘Alleluiah, Sing to Jesus’ (‘Hyfrydol’)

How about another hymn? This is one I love to play on my harmonica. It’s Hyfrydol in Welsh, and Alleluiah, Sing to Jesus in English. Sung hear by the choir at Chet Valley Church.

I know I post it fairly often, but I find it greatly comforting. I hope you do, too.
