Libs Hate Their Own Countries

We’ve heard a member of the German legislature (Green Party, of course) say she looks forward, with great enthusiasm, to a time when Germans will be a minority in Germany. And we’ve heard a Swedish leader rhapsodize about a Sweden with no Swedes in it.

Now we’ve got a guy running for president of France who says there’s no such thing as French culture ( https://www.datalounge.com/thread/18419754-french-pres-candidate-emmanuel-macron-says-there-is-no-such-thing-as-french-culture ).

Emmanuel Macron, 39, a banker before he got into politics, running as an independent, is making a stir in the French election. He also made a stir by calling French colonialism “a crime against humanity” and then criticizing the way homosexual pseudomarriage was imposed on the French people–so he’s got a lot of people mad at him.

In his latest blather, Macron said there was never any such thing as French art–just art that “occurred in France.” Poussin, Delacroix, Degas, Monet, the Limbourg Brothers, Matisse, Rodin–what were they, if not French? Egyptians?

Why do liberals do this? They all wanna be citizens of the world. They worship The Planet. *sigh* They’re always in a hurry to erase their own countries: like the elder Trudeau proclaiming there was no such thing as a Canadian culture, only a bunch of cultures crammed into a space called Canada.

Gee, I wonder what that great Japanese philosopher, Voltaire, would say.

‘Hate-America High’ Rescinds Flag Ban

Why can’t you have an American flag at a high school football game?

Because “it might offend someone,” said the principal of Travelers Rest High School, South Carolina–who banned the Stars and Stripes from his school’s football games, but then had to take it back because the community was, like, super-mad at him ( http://heatst.com/culture-wars/high-school-un-bans-us-flag-at-football-games-after-backlash/ ).

The principal’s palaver hit a snag when they couldn’t find anyone who was actually offended by the American flag.

But hey, hey, boys and girls–this is public education! They weren’t satisfied to ban school prayer, Christmas celebrations, etc. They also want to ban America. Train the kiddies to be good little Citizens of the World.

The time has come to disobey these people. In fact, that time came years and years ago, and we just let it pass. But all right, so we’re late, what of it?–The time has come to take our country back.

And, because there can be nothing worthwhile accomplished without it, to re-Christianize America. And this time deeply, not just widely. The Christianity that we had was a mile wide and an inch thick–no wonder the enemy scraped it off so easily.

The alternative is to just keep letting schmendricks like this principal, like any big-name liberal, push us around until they push us off the edge.

The Globalist Sky is Falling

When the people of Britain voted the other day to secede from the European Union, there was great wailing and gnashing of teeth among the Citizens of the World crowd. They don’t want to be British! They want to be transnational. Or whatever.

Gee, too bad they don’t have what we have, here in the USA. Here, when liberals get an election result that they don’t like–e.g., Proposition 8 in California, reserving marriage to one man and one woman–they can always find a Democrat judge to overturn it. I guess they don’t have that in Britain.

Since the late 19th century it’s been fashionable among self-admiring leftids to despise their own countries and pine away for various kinds of super-states.

Note: The root of this ideology is religious. Unable to believe in God, in Jesus Christ, humanists must look elsewhere for their salvation. They always wind up looking in the mirror for it. Their spirits can soar no higher than good ol’, great ol’ Homo sapiens and those glorious extensions of himself, the state and Science. That these institutions cannot deliver salvation doesn’t seem to matter.

No one can blame the Europeans for trying to prevent world wars from sweeping across their continent. But they refuse to see war as arising from the sinful human heart. They seek an institutional origin. That way, all they’ve got to do is tweak and tinker with their institutions, and voila!–they’ll have perfected man himself.

Before long the smoke of Brexit will have blown away, the stock markets will right themselves, and normal people will discover–if they didn’t already know it–that they never did need the EU to carry on trade, to enjoy peaceful and friendly intercourse with other nations, or any of those other things that are routinely done when a nation’s heart is right.

All they’ve lost is some unelected bureaucrats in Brussels to tell them what to do.

P.S. to Regular Readers: I’ve just returned from the hospital. Poor Aunt Joan! It distresses me to see her confined to a bed, etc. But she is much, much better than she was on Thursday, and it looks like she’s going to pull through. Please keep praying for us, folks. I do appreciate it!
