Here’s a hymn request from Erlene–In the Sweet By and By. I opted for this rendition by Joshua & Jeremy Swanson>>> because they’re our friends, we love them, and they do make beautiful music and we should encourage them.
I don’t know about you, but if I had to cover the nooze without posting any hymns, I don’t think I could do this job.
Well, we can’t let this go unposted–another solo hymn by our friend and colleague Jeremy, Joshua’s brother: Shall We Gather at the River? It’s an all-time classic, and it brings to mind a Bible verse:
“There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.” (Psalm 46:4)
It’ll be a gathering richer and better than anything we’ve ever known.
Well, hardly anybody here today, only two views for that nice hymn that SlimJim requested–but maybe another hymn will do the trick.

By the way, they’re not twins. Jeremy does seem to be growing kind of fast, though.
That last post I ran was just a bit depressing. We don’t want to lose heart. We want to trust in God. We don’t know what to do, but He does.
So let’s raise our spirits with this: our own friends and esteemed colleagues, Joshua and Jeremy Swanson, with an instrumental rendition of Good King Wenceslas.

This is a bonus hymn, an instrumental by our esteemed colleagues, Joshua and Jeremy: I’ll Fly Away. These two guys are very thoroughly loved around here. With young people like these (and others–you know who you are!), you just have to have hope for the future.

Here’s one by our own Joshua and Jeremy–Holy, Holy, Holy: traditional hymn, none the worse for being played on two guitars. Maybe if we cheer these guys enough, they’ll sing a verse or two.
I don’t know what time it is in Japan, so maybe our friends Joshua and Jeremy have gone to bed already. But we haven’t.
