I can’t think of a better way to start a year than with this hymn, All Glory Be to Christ, by Dustin Kensrueu and King’s Kaleidoscope. Sung to the tune of Auld Lang Syne.
Pray for Christ’s protection in this year. We’ll need it.

When this hymn was first sung, none of the musical instruments in this video had been invented. Be Thou My Vision is an Irish hymn from the 700s, still loved around the world today. This hypermodern rendition is by King’s Kaleidoscope.
This is an unusual arrangement of a traditional hymn, Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing, by King’s Kaleidoscope. I think you’ll like it.
This gorgeous hymn by Stuart Townend (1995–but that doesn’t seem that long ago!) is well-served here by King’s Kaleidoscope.
And we’re open for hymn requests today… as we approach Easter.
You didn’t think I’d let New Year’s Eve pass without posting this, did you? All Glory Be to Christ: words by Dustin Kensrue, performed by Kings Kaleidoscope, to the tune of “Auld Lang Syne.”
May the glory of our Lord cover the earth as the water covers the sea.
Usually I post this around Christmastime, but it was in my mind all yesterday afternoon, and I like to heed such promptings–All Glory Be to Christ, performed by King’s Kaleidoscope. Simple, but I find it very moving. Full of Scriptural echoes.
It’s New Year’s Eve, and you’re going to hear a lot of Auld Lang Syne. Fine, that’s as it should be, it’s nice. But here we put the tune to the service of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I don’t know about you, but this goes straight to my heart: All Glory Be to Christ by King’s Kaleidoscope, sung by Dustin Kensrue. I’m only going to post it once today–but you can listen as often as you like.
Our day here got off to a poor start, but the Lord has straightened it out for us and I am soooo tired–suddenly everything I write looks like Joe Collidge, and has to be corrected. Oh, well. And I hope you don’t mind that I post this hymn again–All Glory Be to Christ, by King’s Kaleidoscope. I just had a powerful hankering to hear it.
Meanwhile, we’ve just had word that our dear friend Erlene is sick in bed today–so let’s send up a prayer for her. Please, O Lord–hear us on behalf of our sister, Erlene, and raise her up and heal her speedily. She is your servant, and a sheep of your pasture, as are we all–and we need our Shepherd. Be swift to help her, Father! In Jesus’ name, amen.
This is one of those hymns that makes me feel the nearness of my God: my Redeemer is at hand. It evokes all the loves in my life–the loves that last: even the sharp, intense love of just a single moment in time that you remember all your life. All Glory Be to Christ, sung by Dustin Kensrue, performed by Kings Kaleidoscope–oh, yes. God is nigh.
A lot of people love this arrangement, by King’s Kaleidoscope, of In Christ Alone. See what you think. I love the lyrics.
