‘For the Beauty of the Earth’

This hymn came back to me yesterday evening, as I looked at green leaves waving against a sapphire sky: For the Beauty of the Earth, sung by Michelle Swift.

And God saw everything that He had made, and, behold, it was very good. (Genesis 1:31)

‘For the Beauty of the Earth’

Yes, I know I’ve posted this before–but it’s still beautiful, right? For the Beauty of the Earth, a classic hymn from 1864, sung by Michelle Swift.

It’s the very beauty of God’s created earth that speaks to us, if we but listen, and assures us, “God is nigh.”

Bonus Hymn: ‘For the Beauty of the Earth’

I’m done writing about politics for the day. It’s a dirty business. How about another hymn instead?

You wonder why I prefer to do my novel-writing outdoors?
