Making Friends with Baby Rabbits

We had a nestful of baby bunnies in our garden once. When they were a little older (we thought it wiser to leave them alone while they were still in the nest), they became quite friendly with us. I enjoyed watching them play tag in the parking lot after the sun went down.

Baby Bunnies

I’ve never seen bunnies with such short ears before. They’re very cute! I’m presuming the ears will grow with the rest of them.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a baby cottontail, the size of a softball, come hopping out from under the ramp of a neighbor’s storage shed. I’ll bet he’s twice as big by now.

A Bunny with Attitude

Does this rabbit really have such a forceful personality; or is the dog in this video that big a wimp? Really, the bunny’s not supposed to chase the dog. And sometimes ducks and chickens get involved.

Is this bunny too big for his britches?

Rabbits, Rejoice

It’s nice that someone around here is feeling halfway-human, even if it’s just a couple of rabbits in a video. But you’ve got to take your high spirits where you find them.

Rabbit to Write Cat’s Biography

All the notes to this video are in Russian, but I think what’s going on here is obvious: the bunny is the cat’s biographer. That’s why he follow the cat everywhere it goes: research. The only problem here is that there are two cats and he can’t follow them both at once. He’ll need to hire an assistant.

Bunnies & Dogs

All right, they can’t play Clue, or Parcheesi, or Mad-Libs; but rabbits and dogs do like to play, and they’ll play with each other. Who says the dogs always eat the bunnies?

I think these unexpected animal friendships are a peek into what’s in store for us when God finishes His work of reclaiming and restoring His creation.
