Elder Mike wanted to share this video with you, so here it is–“Gospel Quartet.” It has this going for it: it’s very funny! And God knows I can use a laugh today.
I don’t know how much of this performance is for real. Just relax and enjoy it.

By Request, ‘Your Grace and Mercy Have Brought Me Through’
Requested by Phoebe: Your Grace and Mercy Have Brought Me Through, sung by the Mississippi Mass Choir. Frank Williams is the soloist.
Tomorrow the festival of doctoring begins. Please pray for me; I’ll need all the prayers I can get.
By Request, ‘I Can’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore’
Requested by Erlene, a real classic: I Can’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore. Jim Reeves sang this version back in 1962. A few years later, The Incredible String Band had a pop version. But really, it’s a spiritual.
By Request, ‘In His Time’
Here’s a hymn requested by Erlene–In His Time. I don’t know who’s singing it, but I couldn’t resist the flowers and the butterflies.
(Three deer in our parking lot today, a doe and two fawns. To me, a sign that God is nigh.)
Bonus Hymn, ‘One Pair of Hands’–By Elvis
Did you know Elvis Presley also sang a lot of gospel? And sang it very well, too.
Requested by Teddy, here is Elvis singing One Pair of Hands.
A voice like his doesn’t come along very often.
By Request, ‘One Pair of Hands’
Ai-ya! I’m running so late today, gotta catch up!
Here’s a hymn requested by Erlene–One Pair of Hands, sung by Carroll Roberson. Elvis Presley also sang it. Would any of you like me to post that, too? (I don’t feel like writing politics today.)
By Request, ‘In Christ Alone’
Requested by Susan, In Christ Alone–and I know I posted this same hymn yesterday, but I do have a commitment to post hymns that readers ask for.
This version is by Michael W. Smith… with spectacular scenery by God the Father.
By Request, ‘Sweet Beulah Land’
Requested by Erlene: Sweet Buelah Land, sung by Carroll Roberson.
Yes, I know I’m late. This week’s trials have gotten the better of me.
By Request, ‘The Way’
Well, at least we’ve got a hymn request, this one from Erlene: The Way, by Carroll Roberson.
(My guts are still a bit dodgy from this morning’s exigencies. So don’t expect me to sing.)
By Request, ‘The Master’s Call’
Here’s a hymn requested by Erlene: The Master’s Call, by Carroll Roberson.
The hymn shop’s open all day. Share a favorite hymn! All are welcome.
