Bonus Video: Frog Changes Color

(Enough with the nooze already!)

I love grey tree frogs. They’re very tame, they’ll perch on your finger like a parakeet and eat out of your hand… and they can change color. The frog in this video is green, but by and by he changes back to grey.

I had several of these once. They used to line up on a perch in my lizard cage and sing together. My housemates came after me with torches and pitchforks, so I had to let them go. The frogs, that is–not the housemates.

I know better now. I’d keep the frogs.

Sanity Break: World’s Oldest Living Chicken

Before we get into any of the frothing mass of bad nooze that has already piled up today–if we get to it at all (heh-heh!)–let us salute a bird named Peanut, recently confirmed by Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest living chicken.

World's Oldest Living Chicken

“Peanut” is 20 years old. She was raised in Michigan by retired librarian Marsi Darwin.

My grandpa had chickens, but I can’t tell an elderly chicken from a young one. I am told a chicken normally lives five to ten years–so Peanut is a real matriarch.

Just another one of those little things God put into Creation to keep our heads from exploding…

The Siren Song of Mr. Bean

We have discovered a raft of Mr. Bean episodes on YouTube, episodes we’ve never seen before because our New Jersey TV channel was too cheap to present but a few of them. And that was years ago.

I’ve been to the store and to the laundry, again, today, I’ve been stuck at traffic lights that stopped working, I am tired… and as I scan the nooze, I can feel my head coming to a point.

I can almost see Mr. Bean pointing to the computer screen and beckoning us to join him. Get some belly-laughs.

Can I do this? Will readers desert me if I do?

The temptation is… acute.

A Spectacularly Rude Awakening

Ooh-ooh! I almost forgot to post this for you. Not sure whether to call it a sanity break. But it’s some kind of break, that’s for sure. Maybe even it’s symbolic. An omen. Send for the augurs!

Anyway, the guy falls asleep on a lounger by his in-ground pool, and along comes a bear (!) to sniff and tap his foot and wake him up.

We can’t tell who was more startled, the man or the bear. But no harm done, all’s well that ends well, we can’t tell whether the guy’s hair would’ve turned white because he doesn’t have any…

Enjoy this break from nooze and politics.

Funny Break: Sneaky Cats

We’ve all been good boys and girls today–Oops! Should there have been a trigger warning up there?–and we deserve some fun with cats. Be assured that the cats in this video are having a grand old time.

Don’t miss the cat stalking the pigeon on the ledge, and the pigeon making him look a right dicky-doo-dah. And you thought pigeons were dumb! Not this bird.
