Bath Time!

Gee, look how easy it is to give a pup a bath! All it takes is patience, treats, and the right equipment. Of course, I’ve never had to do it. Does bathing an iguana count as experience?

2 Dozen Baby Goats!

I don’t know how anybody counted these kids–they’re in perpetual motion. Look at all that energy! You’ve got to love these little characters. Resistance is futile.

Dogs Who Disgrace Themselves

Why are some dogs so terrified of cats? Search me–but it’s horrible public relations for Doggy Corp. Inc. Isn’t there some union that enforces the standards? Really, guys, you don’t want cats seeing this.

Cats ‘n’ Candles

Hey, humans! You can learn to put out candles with your bare hands. Just watch how these cats do it. Hint: You do want to take care not to set your house on fire.

A Dog Up a Tree

Boyhood memory: A black cocker spaniel named Toby–same as the dog in this video–chased a squirrel up a tree; and had so much momentum, he ran right up the trunk, after the squirrel. Only then did he realize he was now stranded up a tree and had no idea how to get down. He had to be rescued with a ladder. P.S.–he never did it again.

Your Friendly Iguana

My stars! This iguana looks just like the one I had for 17 years. If you raise them right, starting when they’re babies, they can grow up to be wonderful pets. My iguana thought he was a mammal, with dogs and cats for friends. Yes, you do hear of mean, grouchy iguanas–but it’s all in the way they’re raised.

Sanity: ‘O Come, O Come, Emmanuel’

This is the first hymn that’s popped into my head this morning, and it was just the right one: O Come, O Come, Emmanuel, sung by “a traditional choir” (sorry, that’s all I know). Our help is in the name of the LORD, which made heaven and earth (Psalm 124:8)…

Cat vs. Drone

I don’t know why this should be, but I felt immensely satisfied when the cat finally knocked the stupid drone out of the air. Somehow that said to me, “B.S. will not rule the world. Cats won’t allow it.”

A Poor Reflection on These Puppies

Are there any animals who understand what a reflection is? Yeesh, I had a chameleon who just about exploded when he saw himself in a mirror. But what stumps a lizard shouldn’t baffle a dog… should it?

Inscrutable Cat Video

I’m keelhauled if I can see the point of this cat video. Can you? But that’s how this day has gone for me. Three hours late with the critter video, and an unsuccessful stab at grocery-shopping. Maybe Byron the Quokka can take over while I go soak my head.
