‘Behold the Mountain of the Lord’

Yes, I know, I’ve posted this hymn any number of times–an ancient Scottish hymn, Behold the Mountain of the Lord (In Latter Days Shall Rise).

Well, I want to see that mountain! I want to see My Lord Jesus Christ come into His glory.

And I want to see the looks on certain people’s faces when He does.

‘Behold the Mountain of the Lord’

What I wouldn’t give to see that mountain rise! Can we see it with the eyes of faith? Show us, O Lord–let us see your goodness and your glory. (Actually He does show it to us in many different ways. We have to learn to open up and see.)

‘Behold the Mountain of the Lord’

I love this hymn, and it’s been too long since I last posted it: traditional Scottish hymn, sung by Godfrey Birtill–Behold the Mountain of the Lord. It stirs my soul. I hope it stirs yours.

‘Be Thou My Vision’ (Scottish Gaelic)

This beautiful hymn comes to us from Ireland, sometime around 700 A.D. This Scottish Gaelic version should bear a fair resemblance to the original. No, I can’t read it. Just listen.

‘Behold the Mountain of the Lord’

My only excuse for posting this again is that I really love this hymn–Behold the Mountain of the Lord, traditional Scottish hymn, sung by Godfrey Birtill.

We’re open all day for hymn requests, though.

‘Behold the Mountain of the Lord’

No hymn requests today, yet, so I’m on my own. Let’s go with my favorites, an 18th-century Scottish hymn–Behold the Mountain of the Lord, sung by Godfrey Birtill.

The LORD has said it will come; and it will.

‘Behold the Mountain of the Lord’

No hymn requests have come in yet today, so here’s one of my favorites, an ancient Scottish hymn–Behold the Mountain of the Lord, sung by Godfrey Birtill.

The hymn shop’s open, boys ‘n ‘ girls. Come in and share your favorite hymns.

‘Behold The Mountain of the Lord’

No hymn requests, no comments this morning: I’m on my own.

Here’s one of my favorite hymns, an old Scottish hymn–Behold the Mountain of the Lord, sung by Godfrey Birtill.

Well, the hymn shop is open… Come on in.

By Request, ‘Be Thou My Vision’… in Gaelic

This ancient Irish hymn has been loved the world over for 15 hundred years. Requested by Ina, here is Be Thou My Vision in Scottish Gaelic. I’m sure I could also find it in the original Irish, but I do try to give readers what they ask for.

‘Behold the Mountain of the Lord’

We don’t have any requests yet, and this was the first hymn to pop into my head today–one of my favorites, haven’t posted it in a while, and I’m glad it’s still available: Behold the Mountain of the Lord, an ancient Scottish hymn, sung here by Godfrey Birtil.
