I feel emotionally strung out this morning, and found it very hard to select a hymn. I’m also finding it hard to pray, so please pray for me.
Anyhow, here’s a Sunday school favorite, sung by Nathan and Lyle–Yield Not to Temptation. I wanted a hymn that wouldn’t make me cry; but this one did, after all.

You’ll pardon me, I hope, if I plug in one of my favorite hymns now and then. This one was in my mind for most of yesterday, Yield Not to Temptation, a 19th-century classic by Horatio Palmer, sung here by Nathan and Lyle.

It’s been a while since I posted this old Sunday school favorite, Yield Not to Temptation, sung by Nathan and Lyle. This sure brings back memories! Sometimes the old 19th century hymns are the best.
I wonder how many times we sang this hymn in Sunday school. I don’t know why, but every hymn I hear today moves me practically to tears. I think I’m responding to God’s goodness, of which we all stand so much in need. So here it is–Yield Not to Temptation, Nathan on the mandolin, Lyle on guitar.
