Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?

‘Humanizing Christianity’ REPRINT

From November 17, 2018

Secularists love to pat themselves on the back for “humanizing Christianity.” Excuse me for a moment: this deserves an appropriate response.

What do they mean, they “humanize Christianity”? I think it means they invent a new-improved model–with Christ taken out of it and replaced by man-made idols, the State and Science, and humanist pseudo-sacraments: abortion, combating “Man-Made Climate Change,” same-sex “marriage,” sex change operations, hate speech trials, and every conceivable variety of fornication. They take away the judgment, take away accountability to God, and set up their political masters and scientific oracles as gods.

How does a secularist even know what’s right or wrong? Mostly they’re content to keep some of the moral law handed down to the human race by God, to the Jews first, and then the Gentiles. But no secularist can actually explain why it’s wrong to commit a murder. We can, but they can’t. For convenience’s sake they retain much of the law and tradition amassed over the centuries by Jews and Christians, who received it from a righteous and infallible God who is a person, who made them in His image, and who loves them.

Yeah, they made Christianity nicer. That’s why more people were murdered by their own governments in the 20th century alone–Red China, the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, and a host of others–secularist governments all–than were killed off by all the religions of the world put together in all the other centuries put together. This century is only 18 years old: give it time to come up with new and exciting deviltries all its own.

It is true that God endows all people, even atheists, with common grace, which is an inborn attraction to what is right and good. And so it was always possible for people who had never heard of God’s laws to keep those laws regardless. Common grace is the law written on our hearts. Humanity wouldn’t have survived for two hours without it.

The words of Jesus Christ and His apostles don’t need “humanizing,” and never did.

God defend us from being conformed to this fallen world.

Are We Grasshoppers? REPRINT

From January 4, 2013

Remember how, as the children of Israel approached the Promised Land, Moses sent out spies to reconnoiter? And do you remember what those spies (except for Caleb and Joshua) said?

We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we… The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. And there we saw the giants…. and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.   Numbers 13: 31-33

God had commanded Israel to go in and possess the land, but Israel chickened out. They convinced themselves that the  Canaanites were giants that they could never overcome: and they counted God’s help as worthless.

America’s Christians today are afraid of the ungodly, afraid to go up against them. They’re giants! They’ve got all the money, they’ve got all the media, they’ve got secret conspiracies that have already covered all the bases, their plans cover every possible contingency, resistance is futile, boo-hoo-hoo…

Wise up, O men of God.

They are not giants. They are deluded sinners whom God has raised up to chastise His people. It is a shame for God’s people to be afraid of Harry Reid, “gay” activists, “banksters,” FEMA camps, lizard people, and whatnot. Some of these boogiemen don’t even exist outside of our imaginations. The ones that really do exist will not enjoy worldly power for a moment longer than God allows: and their master the Devil has no power to save them.

Heads up, shoulders back! For we are marching as to war.

The writing on the wall has not been erased.

From June 15, 2021

As long as the U.S. bishops are going to get together tomorrow to discuss “Eucharistic coherence,” they might want to consider the Eucharistic incoherence being practiced at Our Lady of Grace Church in Hoboken, NJ (https://www.tapinto.net/towns/hoboken/sections/religions-and-spirituality/articles/catholic-church-to-hold-lgbtq-pride-mass).

For the fourth year in a row, this alleged church is going to hold a “pride mass” to celebrate sodomy. Take pride in something that God’s word calls a sin. For three years in a row the American bishops pretended such things weren’t happening. Ditto the goings-on at so-called “Catholic” colleges: they ignored those, too.

Please don’t take this post as Catholic-bashing. If there weren’t faithful Christians in the Church trying to hang on to truth and righteousness, there’d be no controversy, no debate. There are many Catholics who must feel like Lot in Sodom.

This is open, flagrant defiance of God’s law.

Remember us, O Lord, that we never gave consent to this.

Mr. Nature: The Last Thylacine REPRINT

From June 30, 2018

These video clips, taken at the Hobart Zoo in Tasmania, preserve the memory of an animal that is now supposedly extinct–the thylacine, aka “Tasmanian tiger,” once upon a time the largest living marsupial carnivore. The last one died at the zoo in 1936.

Mr. Nature here, with an animal that I wish was still alive. And it may be. Over the years, hundreds, if not thousands, of people have claimed to have sighted living thylacines on the Australian mainland. Some of them back up their claims with videos, a few of which look quite convincing. So it’s possible there may be a few of them left, roaming the outback. The long, stiff tails, and the stripes along the back, are distinctive: no other animal has them.

Jack and Ellayne encountered a much larger version of a thylacine in Lintum Forest, carrying off, in its massive jaws, the front half of a knuckle-bear.

I don’t think God likes it when we kill off members of His creation.

But I also believe He’ll bring them back, someday, somewhere–if He hasn’t done it already, someplace where they’re safe from us.

Thanks to God
