Actually, the most eccentric characters in this video are the humans who let a bear into their house. It seems very unwise.
But there’s also the dog who feeds bunnies (and a piglet, and a duck) instead of eating them, and a grey goose who feeds his friends–a whole bunch of fish. These are glimpses into the renewal of Creation: when God says, “Behold, I make all things new.”

We wonder why public school “educators” are always so hot to trot for sex education–and the younger the children in the classroom, the more eagerly the educators swing into action. It’s because what they like to call “sex education” is a sacrament of a false religion, secular humanism. The other humanist sacraments are sodomy, transgenderism, abortion, and assisted suicide.
Another big question is why parents, even Christian parents, continue to allow believers in that false religion to educate their children, day in, day out, and year after year.
Rather large books can be, and have been, written on this subject. This is only a blog post. It’s my way of urging parents and families to stop subjecting their children to public education.
Years ago, I worked most days as a substitute teacher at a public high school, called in to teach any and all subjects with only one exception–sex education. No substitute was ever called in for that. If the teacher was absent, an assistant principal had to supervise the class.
To keep parents from ever knowing exactly what was being taught, the textbooks were never allowed to be taken out of the classroom. Students complained that this made it hard for them to study for tests and quizzes, but that was the policy and the administration was not about to change it.
A student or a teacher in a public school can fall into a world of trouble by openly expressing any kind of faithfulness to Christian teaching. “You can be a boy one day and a girl the next, depending on how you feel.” This is, increasingly, what is being taught.
The Coalition of African-American Pastors, just to name one of many groups of concerned citizens and Christians, has warned that this kind of indoctrination is not going to go away, it is going to be made more intense as time goes by, and if we leave it alone and do nothing to stop it, our society will be severely damaged by it.

All Christians ought to read Humanist Manifesto II (https://americanhumanist.org/what-is-humanism/manifesto2/), to see what we’re up against.
True, every pack of douchebags has a “manifesto,” starting with the the Communist Manifesto itself. But that’s no reason not to take it seriously. These are dangerous douchebags, with academic creds galore and all kinds of prestige. They and their kind have soaked into the institutions of Western civilization and corrupted it. So read what they have to say for themselves.
Here’s their sales pitch. You give up God, because He isn’t real, and all that “unproved and outmoded” religion stuff like forgiveness of sins, redemption, the hope of eternal life, the hope of justice and the hope of mercy–you give that up, see, and transfer your hope and trust and allegiance to us, The Smartest People in the World.
In return, we’ll give you goodies like you won’t believe! “Using technology wisely,” because Science, don’t you know, has all the answers, we’re gonna end war, end poverty, wipe out disease, drastically increase the human life-span, provide everyone with fantastic jobs that they really like, and even “direct the course of human evolution”–I mean, how cool is that? Just give us the power, give us the money, and we will do all these things that God shoulda done but He didn’t because there is no God, etc.
That’s the deal. Like, really–a baby in a manger? You gotta be kiddin’! Prayers? Oh, come on!
But we know what we wind up with when we turn away from Jesus Christ, our only Savior and our rightful King. We’ve seen them break their eggs to make their omelets: only the omelet never gets made, and the landscape is littered with gulags and mass graves and prisons.
They ask us to worship them as gods, claiming to be able to do all the things–eventually, at least, through Science–that God should be able to do. Since Manifesto2 was written, they’ve also cooked up a Climbit Change apocalypse and promised to Save The Planet from it… if we’ll just give them that world government that they’ll need to do the job.

What they never fail to give us, these Smartest People in the World, is cruelty, folly, shame, and failure. Those are the gifts of fallen man, cumbered by Original Sin.
All good gifts come from God, and only from Him. The humanists’ “Good without a god” slogan is surely the biggest single line of fat-headedness ever written.
There is no good apart from God. Period.

COVID-19 is very far from being the deadliest disease the world has ever known, but that hasn’t stopped our exalted leaders from behaving like it’s the Black Death and the Spanish Flu rolled into one. And so we have these bizarre, draconian restrictions wrapped around people’s necks, world-wide; and every time we get close to what we’ve been told will be the end of it, they move the goalposts farther away.
Need we mention that nobody tells us anymore what the end will be?
And what happens from now on whenever a nasty disease comes along? Are we gonna play shutdown/lockdown every time?
Why do our exalted leaders do this to us?
Because it’s their weird substitute religion. And what religion is that? The Humanist Manifesto 2 will sum it up neatly for you (https://americanhumanist.org/what-is-humanism/manifesto2/): There is no God, but no problem, using our infallible Science wisely, we, the world’s smartest people, can and will do everything God shoulda done!
So they want God’s job, they want to sit on His throne: and then they realize, “Schiff, now we gotta do all those things we disbelieved in God for not doing!” You will find those things listed in the Humanist Manifesto. Question: Why does every moth-eaten bunch of commie wackos have a “manifesto”?
Now that government is God, and they’re the government, they have to do a better job than God ever did and prevent all Bad Things from happening! And if any of them do happen anyway, it’s Donald Trump’s fault. In the case under discussion here, the self-anointed gods now have to demonstrate that they can wipe out diseases. Once they’ve got it all under control, no one will ever get sick anymore! (Unless White Supremacists find some way to make them sick.)
Whatever the problem, it can always be traced to a core or cadre of Christian conservative spoil-sports who refuse to get behind the program. They’re the ones holding back the Government from creating Utopia! Off to the gulag with ’em! You’ve gotta break eggs to make an omelet.
It’s not just disease. The new gods, self-anointed, also propose to eliminate war, poverty, inequality, and unhappiness. “That’s a better deal than God ever gave you!” And who needs forgiveness of sins, when there must be some Scientific method to make it impossible for you to sin in word, act, or thought? Some little chip implanted in your brain: it’ll fry you if you think a Bad Thought.
Because the humanists aspire to be gods–just as the Serpent promised, back in the Garden of Eden–they must aim for and exercise total control over every aspect of human life. Wow! Good thing they’ll only do that for our own good!
The fool says in his heart that there is no god; and then he goes out and makes one out of cardboard.

Do you have to be moral, to be a “moral philosophy professor”? Nah.
One of these intellectual ginks at Johns Hopkins University has written a book in which he declares we gotta fight Climate Change by having way fewer babies ( http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-09-23/want-to-slow-climate-change-stop-having-babies-bioethicist-travis-rieder-says ). Yup: too many people on the Plaaaanet, poor ol’ Gaia, blah-blah-blah.
Government–and interllecturals–he reluctantly concludes, will find it necessary “to pressure families” to stop making babies: because modern people just will not “give up their toys” and scale themselves back to an 11th-century lifestyle. By “toys” he means things like refrigerators and air conditioning.
Yo, sunshine! Which of those toys have you given up?
He does not deal with the colossal amount of evidence that “climate scientists” and government agencies are lying, lying, lying about all this. Instead, he brands his critics, and anyone else who won’t agree with him, as “the far-right hate machine.”
The wisdom of God speaks truly: “All they that hate me love death” (Proverbs 8:36).
P.S.–Yes, I know I complain all the time about the noise and crowding in this part of New Jersey. But not being a liberal, I do not demand that my emotional reactions to my particular circumstances be made the basis of public policy affecting everyone.

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but it bears repeating. To leftists, nothing matters about anyone except for what’s on the outside.
They may not even realize there can be anything on the inside. It may be that such things as character, ability, or personality are so irrelevant to liberals that they might not believe such things exist. For them there’s only your skin color, your “gender,” and whatever else is on the outside.
And above and beyond that, an insatiable lust for power over other people.
To teachers’ unions, human children are empty bags that can be filled with whatever they want to put in there. Everybody’s empty, so why not fill them? Stuff in as much progressive twaddle as you can. It’ll prime them for college.
This is all so weird, so hard to unpack. “Progressive” thought, if we may even call it “thought,” is a labyrinth from which no one can emerge with an intact mind. A lot of folks will never emerge at all. The questions it raises are unanswerable. Why, for instance, are “minorities”–supposedly wise and virtuous, just by being who they are–always shown as totally helpless and incompetent without self-hating white liberals to lead them? Figure that one out and win a Day-Glo orange traffic cone.
We are made in God’s image. It is Satan’s plan to mar that image and ultimately destroy it altogether. In destroying us, he unmakes God’s creation. This scheme he pitches to nincompoops, as he has always pitched it, as a path to becoming gods themselves. A path to citizenship in Hell.
We have spent several decades listening to these people and allowing them to kill our culture.
Now would be a very good time to stop.

See that great big black cat sleeping with his best friend, the pit bull, on the sofa?
That big cat, some months ago, was Jax the little kitten, picked up by my stepdaughter Georgia in the middle of a storm, adopted, and found to be at death’s door, due to a serious blood condition requiring immediate treatment–including a transfusion of very rare donor blood, etc.
Many of us prayed for Jax, and now you can see the result.
It’s become fashionable these days, in a fallen world populated by sinners who have free will and atrociously abuse it, to say that prayer is futile, waste of breath, just won’t work–even some who call themselves Christians are saying that prayer is just a waste of time. And who has never had that thought cross his mind?
But this fine healthy cat is here because a woman had compassion on him, and acted on it, and because God heard our prayers and did the rest.
Rejoice, give thanks, and sing.
