So we’ve hit a blogging milestone, 100,000 comments. I wonder how long it’ll take to reach the next hundred thousand.
Now I’ve got to write a Newswithviews column, and a couple more blog posts; and I have to admit I’m pretty close to being tuckered out.
Onward!
We’re looking toward 54 comments today, which will bring us up to 100,000–a milestone that will never occur again, so I don’t see how I can ignore it.
Above is pictured the S.S. Zavoody, described in the brochure as a “maritime fixer-upper.” I am sorry to report that this will not be the prize for winning the contest. The winner will have to be content with an autographed book or a cool T-shirt. Or maybe something to do with elephants.
But what about the annual Christmas Carol Contest? Well, I can’t run two contests simultaneously or I’ll wind up in the booby hatch. So the carol contest will start as soon as this one’s finished. We always have a lot of fun with the carol contest, and I mean to put my heart into it.
May the Lord bring us all safe and sound to Christmas, 2023, and on into the new year. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

That’s the Great Pyramid, of course–one of the Seven Wonders of the World. See that white stuff on the tip? Yes, we’re working on making that the prize for the next comment contest, for reasons which will soon become obvious. If we play our cards right, the contest winner will be awarded with a luxury apartment way up there!
Currently we’re just short of 99,000 comments; and when we finally hit 100,000, well, that’s a big deal! And whoever posts No. 100,000 deserves a fabulous prize. A luxury apartment atop the Great Pyramid! Your friends will go absolutely mad with envy.
