By Request, ‘Be Thou My Vision’ (In Irish)

I promised Ina that I’d post this hymn for her–the ancient Irish hymn, Be Thou My Vision, here sung in Irish Gaelic by Talyn Prescott–so here it is.

First sung in the 8th century, I daresay this hymn is still sung every day throughout the earth.

By Request, ‘Be Thou My Vision’… in Gaelic

This ancient Irish hymn has been loved the world over for 15 hundred years. Requested by Ina, here is Be Thou My Vision in Scottish Gaelic. I’m sure I could also find it in the original Irish, but I do try to give readers what they ask for.

‘Be Thou My Vision’ (Keith and Kristyn Getty)

If there’s a more beautiful hymn than Be Thou My Vision, I’d like to know what it is. This hymn was first sung in Ireland some thirteen hundred years ago, and it’s still being sung, still ministering to souls, today.

Sung here by Kristyn and Keith Getty; and I think that must be Ireland in the background, but I could be wrong.

By Request, ‘Be Thou My Vision’

(I have an early-morning appointment with the eye doctor, so all I can do for now is post a hymn and then rush out of here.)

Requested by Joshua, performed by Keith and Kristyn Getty, an ancient Irish hymn, Be Thou My Vision. First sung 13 hundred years ago, and still beloved today.

By Request, ‘Be Thou My Vision’

I daresay this hymn is sung, somewhere, every day; and yet it dates by to the 8th century, when Charlemagne was just a little boy.

Requested by Susan, sung by Nathan Pacheco, one of the world’s best-loved hymns–Be Thou My Vision.

At Need, ‘Be Thou My Vision’

This is for Michael, whose wife has died. May the Lord our God heal his soul, and grant him peace, strengthen his faith. Our loved ones are waiting for us where God has wiped away all tears.

Be Thou My Vision–eighth-century Irish hymn, sung here by Noel Richards.

By Request, ‘Be Thou My Vision’

This hymn was being sung by Christians when Charlemagne was a baby in a stroller and the whole Western Hemisphere a legend–Be Thou My Vision, an Irish hymn from the 8th century. Requested by “thewhiterabbit” and entered into the hymn contest.

Sung by the Lebanon County Youth Choir. Background sets by God the Father.

By Request, ‘Be Thou My Vision’

How I love this hymn! And always have.

Requested by SlimJim, Be Thou My Vision, performed by students at Fountainview Academy. This ancient Irish hymn is some 14 centuries old–and loved more than ever, all over the world.

‘Be Thou My Vision’

This is one of my favorite hymns. It’s also one of the oldest hymns we have, dating back to the 700s. An Irish hymn, Be Thou My Vision, sung by the Lebanon County Youth Chorus, with background sets by God the Father.

Sanity Break: ‘Be Thou My Vision’

I had to write a book review for Chalcedon this afternoon, and then try to find more nooze to cover here on the blog… and I couldn’t. Just couldn’t bear to read or write another word of it.

All right, you can have one more hymn–pick one you really want to hear (I sez to myself).

Yeah. This one. Be Thou My Vision, the ancient Irish hymn. Sung here by the Lebanon County Youth Chorus, with background sets by God the Father.

He sees. He knows. Save us, O Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
