What’s Your Roll in Life?

No, no–not R-O-L-E! It’s R-O-L-L. And cats like to do it. So do humans, if they’re honest with themselves.

They say Mary Shelly used to like a good roll on the grass, but I don’t believe it.

Stair-Surfing… for Cats

Some cats do get bollixed up on stairs. Not our cats. The two of them, when they chased each other up or down the stairs, became The Thundering Herd.

Here’s a little cat who does it solo. Warning: Humans really shouldn’t try this. You’ll be sorry if you do.

‘More Petting, Please!’

What does your cat do if she wants to get petted? Ours relies on telepathy, in case the human has medicine handy that he’s just itching to give her. The cat in this video demonstrates a polite form of seeking attention. So much nicer than just biting.

Stairway to Doom! (But the Cats Like It)

Holy moly, look at those stairs! All I can think of is Laurel and Hardy trying to deliver a piano.

The cats like it, though–especially when some poor human has to climb all those stairs to deliver an order of cat food.

A Puss in Boots

There is such a thing as being smart enough to get yourself in trouble. Cats are masters of this art.

We have had cats who wanted to eat our shoelaces. We often caught them chewing on them. I think I always got there in time to stop the cat from swallowing a shoelace; but I did have to store my sneakers where the cats couldn’t get at them.

Cat Steals Slippers

When she was a kitten, Robbie often picked up Patty’s slippers and carried them around. She outgrew the habit before she could decide where to put the slippers.

This cat’s human has obliged him with a slipper and a blanket.

Cat Explores Treadmill

Does your cat have a treadmill? No? Go get one–and watch how it stimulates his curiosity.

Amazing true fact: In the early 19th century the treadmill was an instrument of punishment, found in prisons. It would not occur to anyone to bring one home.

Cats Not Clobbering Puppies

It would be very easy for any of these cats to clobber pesky puppies. Why don’t they do it?

Oh, come on! Would you clobber a puppy who just wanted to play with you? Give the cats some credit for humanity.

Did the Cats Rehearse This?

They both jump at the same instant, scoot up the wall together, and one lands on top of the other on top of the wall.

How many times did they have to do this before they got it right? And who’s their agent?

The Angry Kitten

I haven’t seen more than the first few seconds of this video, displaying a kitten who means to show the world who’s boss. I kept trying to post a cat video and kept on getting “This video has been blocked,” etc. This is the one that I was finally allowed to post. We are told the kitten’s anger will be appeased. Let’s see how.
