Requested by TheWhiteRabbit, we have Keith and Kristyn Getty and the Magnificat (Luke 1:46-55) set to music. What could be better for Advent?

Before I write up any more inane and unedifying nooze, let’s have this, requested by Joshua–What Child Is This, sung by Andrea Bocelli with Mary J. Blige.
Keep those carols coming, everybody! It’s our answer to the fallen world.
I have no idea who’s singing this gorgeous old carol. All I know is, this arrangement is by Elaine Hagenberg. I first heard The Sussex Carol as just a little snippet in the background in the George C. Scott version of A Christmas Carol. I never forgot it, and I was so pleased when I finally heard the whole thing.
Phoebe requested Hark the Herald Angels Sing, so here it is–from the Kings College Choir, at Cambridge.
The Christmas Carol Contest continues! So far the leading carol got 24 views the day it was posted. Remember, you can enter as often as you like. It’s part of our celebration of our Savior’s birth.
Peaceful, mellow… The First Noel, played on the guitar by Nanae Fujiwara. For me it evokes the spirit of a still and snowy Christmas Eve. Relax and let it flow.
Requested by Erlene, Mary’s Little Boy Child, sung by Carroll Roberson. I hear this lovely carol every Christmas; now I finally know its name.
Our Christmas Carol Contest is picking up steam. I pray it’ll strengthen the bonds of our fellowship and spread the Christmas spirit.
Requested by Jeremy–and let’s see if I can get it posted before he goes to bed: oh, those crazy time zones!–In the Bleak Midwinter, sung by David Phelps.
Everything by the Libera boys’ choir is superb, and this one’s no exception. Requested by Joshua, God Rest You Merry Gentlemen.
Sometimes Christmas makes me feel like I’m about five years old again. Do any of you feel that, ever?
Requested by Erlene–O Holy Night, sung by the Kings College Choir. There are many versions of this hymn available; this is one of my favorites.
O Lord! May this Christmas of 2019 do its work powerfully and well! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Requested by Phoebe: Joy to the World, performed by Celtic Woman with a great big orchestra to back them up. Words by Isaac Watts; music by–well, no one’s entirely sure. It might be a very old melody that had been kicking around for a few centuries. But now it’s permanently wedded to Watts’ lyrics.
And we’re off and running with our Christmas carol contest!
